Guest guest
Sorry - didn't answer your question about what is high dose Urso. It's considered to be 20mg and upwards per kilo of body weight per day. Noah is around 30 kilo so he's almost taking that amount. The high-dose Urso trial in the UK which I recently reported on, carried out by Dr. Chapman, (31 patients on 30mg Urso per kilo body weight for 4 years.) leads him to believe, on the basis of preliminary results, that, what he calls "high, high dose" of 30mg is better. He found it to be remarkably free of side-effects at this higher level - although diarrhoea and worsening of colitis has been reported. The important thing, he believes, is to get adequate amounts of Urso into the gut and it doesn't seem to have beneficial effects at lower levels, say 10-15mg. If Noah were to take 30mg per kilo he'd need 900mg per day. Ivor
