Guest guest
Any advice would be appreciated as I'm a little shell-shocked at the moment. We've seen a DAN! in VA twice and had some labs drawn which went to LabCorp so I thought they'd be covered. I got a bill for the labs but realized the DAN! hadn't provided our insurance so I did that. However, it turns out the DAN! also did not provide any notes on why the tests were being ordered and now the insurance is requesting justification of medical necesity. So I call the DAN! and his office sends me a letter saying he doesn't believe the insurance company has a right to question his judgment and that it is not in our best interest to tell them anything, but if we want him to write a justification letter it will cost us between $70 and $200. Now what do I do? Thanks! Margaret
