Hi there-

Welcome to the list.

I have a three month old and I breastfeed- it's the best thing for your

baby, and it's good for you, too.

I hope you find lots of support on this list.

Hey, my nick name is Shelli! Nice to have you here. Your decision is the best

one. Some of us have had many hurdles to jump in order to breast feed our

children and others were smooth sailing the entire way. Either way, you will

have a lot of support here. Lean on us and let us know when your precious

arrival is here!

Hi everyone. I am new to this list and would like to introduce myself. My

name is . I am married and a 25 year old working mommy to Davian

Luciano Galindo born 12-10-98. He has been exclusively on breast milk since

birth. I had a C-section and because of all the antibiotics they had me on

in the hospital I had a yeast infection in my breasts (AKA thrush) and Davian

had it in his mouth for 11 weeks!!! We finally won the battle I think

although sometimes I think I may still have it and have just gotten used to

the pain LOL. If anyone has any questions about thrush please ask me...I

feel like and expert now.

Well I look forward to meeting everyone and sharing thoughts, ideas, etc. on

the list.

which was a pity I have to say he was brill. with the children and

Hi Helen and welcome!

>I'm Helen and from Liverpool. I'm 35 and have 3 boys aged 11, 8

>and 2 and I'm expecting my 4th baby on Christmas Day!!.

My DH was born on 25/12/64. It's amazing how many people don't realise

what day it is when you put it like that! Someone, somewhere, some time

ago said that children who are born on Xmas Day consider are

particularly optimistic <braces herself for disagreement> ;-) and DH

would certainly go along with this.

Hope you enjoy the list.

Hi Liz

as no-one else seems to be around tonight thought I'd say a formal hello and

nice to meet you!

My DH works away for long periods too and yes I can agree with how much less

general house work there is when he's gone and how much he generates when

he's home. He requires 'proper food' for dinner - meat and 2 veg and a

pudding - whereas I'll happily have beans on toast and yoghurt with the kids

and his laundry consists of such big things! I know I'm lucky not to be a

single Mum but few people understand the pros of less

mess/clutter/shopping/food preparation without a hungry unliberated man

about the place!

I have never quite worked out why weekly we fill 3 binbags of rubbish when

he's away and seven when he's home!!!!

Oh so true, all of it. DH has gone again, for 6 weeks this time. Can't say

where - bit hush hush, but I wouldn't like to be there that's for sure!!

Emma adjusts very well (except that she is sleeping in my bed at the moment) and

preschool are pretty good doing bits on the place where Emma's Daddy is.

BUT, the mess... DH is so good at tidying (so good he lost my bread machine

paddle) but I am s till amazed at the lack of washing/washing up/ ease of

cooking/ and the overwhelming quiet, when he is not here. It is hard and I am

always pleased to see him return, but it is bliss when he has gone again.
