Thanks, Annette :-) You're right, most of the time we don't look

sick. I remember we chatted about this very same thing at the

rheumatic conference I went to in 1998. There was a whole room full

of people who appeared to be in perfect health. As we know, that can

either work for you or against you in some situations.

Hope you have a great weekend, take care,

Connie

Hi Connie,

I wondered the same thing! In fact, I sent my Nephrologist an email about an

hour ago asking that. You do have a good memory, my clearance was 30 in

June. I asked my Neph in my email why my clearance would have dropped when my

serum creatinine stayed essentially the same. I am pretty thin (5 ft 6.5 inches

and 120 pounds) and I don't know if it is because I don't have enough body

mass. I for sure had symptoms in my teens, so I am over 25 years with IgAN. In

fact, I think protein was first noted 28 years ago now. My how time flies

when we are having fun!

I am curious is your Nephrologist gave you any indication on how long he

thinks you can maintain in the low 20s. I have not given up on the ten year

goal

yet :-) I am willing to admit this is a setback, but I do not forfeit the

battle by any means!

You know what Pierre, that could be it! I got an injury running, followed by

the flu so it was about 4 weeks off running all together. I think you might

be on to something.

You are so smart, no wonder you are the leader!

You are still on Connie! Ten years is the goal, and this is one race I don't

want to be first in :-)

I'll let you know when my Nephrologist responds. Probably won't hear until

Monday though.

Could you possibly have dropped some muscle mass? That could be one reason

your serum creatinine is the same, but your cr cl is less.
