Debbie, I'm not sure which thread you're referring to but if I can

just say that I think personally that it's a legitimate topic for

people who need pain relief. There have been times I have considered

suicide as an option to getting beyond this pain and I've told Dr's

that. I don't think it's meant to be offensive. Just my 2 cents and

please don't consider this to be a hostile email - I'm just trying to

offer another side to why we might discuss it. Take care.

I just have to add this ... my Dr. wouldn't prescribe Lyrica to me but

would give me Vicadin ... go FIGURE on that one! I'd rather have the

Lyrica!!

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list

as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your

dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well

as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't

be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that

situation better.

3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is:

4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at

the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take

something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things

that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even

though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple

illnesses try to keep a sense of humor.

5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls

let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support.

Have a nice day everyone.

I told him the FDA approved the Lyrica and he said he wanted to check

his own sources first, so I said fine. Well - he said his source did

not approve the Lyrica and said I should bring it up with my new Dr.

when I get to the East Coast. Who knows -- that wasn't much of an

answer but I wasn't in the right mind to fight him. He caught me with

out my husband and I was too tired.

Lena,

I hope your move is without problems.

I know what you mean about being too tired to fight it without your husband.

Today I went to Walmart to pick up my perscriptions. They told me it would

be 30 minutes. I left and came back an hour later. My perscriptions were

not ready. I had to wait 45 minutes more. My husband would have really

taken them to task but I was too tired to even bother. I just waited without

complaining even though I was in horrendous pain.

I don’t know if I need assertiveness training or just to get out of pain.

LOL

Let us know how you like the East Coast.

Ann

Thanks Ann ... I am so not motivated and it has to get done! My job

is to pack and my schedule is so weird and I don't sleep and blah blah

you get the idea.

I'm so sorry about the Walmart experience - I go to Costco and I will

say this the women there know me by name and are so caring. I will I

will I will - write to thank them when I move and will write the

regioal manager to tell them they have good employees who care. It so

makes the difference.

Can I suggest trying to get your scrips through the mail, I'm going to

try that soon.

God bless ...
