Not that surgery is a wonderful event in life to look forward to, but you do get yourself ready and when it is cancelled at the last minute, it's a tough thing to handle. I know because my first CI Surgery date was cancelled the day before it was to take place. I know how badly you want to get this over with and get on with your life so I hope they can reschedule right away. In the meantime, we'll hold those good thoughts and prayers. Guest guest Posted January 14, 2003 Report Share Posted January 14, 2003 Alice Think positive thoughts that it will happen soon. I talked with the secretary at church who knew I was having surgery. I had forgotten to let her know of the change. She said that another church member was at the hospital for a knee replacement and already had an IV in when she found out " no surgery " . This was her second attempt. She got sick the last time and had to wait two months to have it scheduled. If I have to wait until then, I will be getting close to Kent's wedding the following month. Of course, it would been that I wouldn't be around for IEPs.
