Chunked it (yes literally) into the molds and beat it down LOL It's gardenia FO too, one that my customers have been waiting on My sweet dh said, don't worry about it, we'll use that batch here, and you can just make more. It looks like crap!:\ (smells great though) So I just cut it haphazardly--just eyeballed the bars. And the gals that work with my mom (who wanted the gardenia originally) said " we don't care what it looks like, We want it! " Grrrr LOL I'm making another batch. If this one seizes, I'm gonna sit down and cry. I think I need to put my water level back up, been having a lot of trouble with batches trying to seize up on me lately Hope everyone else is having better luck LOL And the Gardenia FO from Kibby is fabulous! Guest guest
, Shall we stir some things up to get everyone away from their soap pots? This list has been a little quiet lately. Let's see...Tami, have you given out the August partners yet for the Monthly Soap Swap? Miriam
Guest guest
Deni, Since you reduced your water is that when you started having problems with seizing? I've been having a horrendous time with seizing lately. I, too, reduced the water in my batches. I made a batch the other day with EO and it didn't seize, just the ones with FO. You may have hit upon something. I've been using 80% water. I think I'll increase it to 90% and see if seizing still happens. If it does, I'm going back to 100% of the required water. Cheers, Miriam
Guest guest
Hi Miriam-- Nope, not yet. Later today I'll be sending them along. We didn't have quite as many people sign up this month. Everyone must be busy with shows and all. Has anybody tried that Breeze from SC? I just used it in a soap- smells great. Hard to explain, not really citrusy, not flowery, but really fresh.
