Chandigarh SACS is providing grant-in-aid to NGOs for implementing Targeted

Intervention projects among high risk populations. We intend to make centralized

purchase of Oral Substitution Drugs and

Needles/syringes for disbursing the same to partner NGOs. Chandigarh

SACS has given a tender notice in the national dailies for the same.

A copy of tender notice is enclosed with this mail along with terms and

conditions.

Last date for sending the completed tender by sealed post is August 10, 2008.

We would be glad if you quote your competitive rates of commodities as

mentioned in the tender document OR refer the tender notice to firms in your

contact for applying for the same.

TENDER NOTICE UNDER NATIONAL SHOPPING PROCEDURE

Sealed quotations are invited from the Manufacturers/Authorized dealers/Reputed

firms for the supply of Tab Buprenorphine 2 mg, Tab Buprenorphine-N 2 mg/0.5 mg

and Tab Dothiepine 75 mg, Disposable Syringes 5ml & 10ml with 24G needle and

Disposable needles 26G of ½ Inch & 1 Inch.

The detailed specifications, quantity of the items and terms & conditions of

supply etc. may be obtained free of cost from the office of the undersigned on

or before 10th August, 2008.

The last date of receipt of the sealed quotations is 10th August, 2008 upto 2:00

P.M. The bids received will be opened on 10th August, 2008 at 3:00 P. M in the

office of the undersigned. In case the due date happens to be a holiday, the

quotations shall be received and opened on the next working day at the same time

and place.

Conditional quotations will not be accepted. The undersigned reserves the right

to reject any quotation without assigning any reason.

INVITATION FOR QUOTATIONS FOR SUPPLY OF GOODS UNDER

NATIONAL SHOPPING PROCEDURE

Subject: INVITATION FOR TENDER FOR PURCHASE OF ORAL SUBSTITUTION DRUGS AND

DISPOSABLE SYRINGES WITH NEEDLES FOR IDUs.

1. Sealed competitive quotations are invited by the undersigned for the

following item:

7. Disposable Needle 26G of 1 inch length 11,000

2. Quoted Price:

The successful bidder is bound to supply the items ordered, falling which the

order will be awarded to the next lowest bidder.

(a) All duties, taxes and other levies payable by the bidder (other than Sales

tax on the finished goods) shall be included in the item rate. Sales tax if any

should be quoted separately.

( The rates quoted for each item shall be fixed for the duration of the

contract and shall not be subject to adjustment.

© Rates or partial quantity of an item is not acceptable.

(d) Corrections if any shall be made by crossing out, initiating, dating and

rewriting.

(e) Telex or Facsimile quotations are not acceptable.

3. Each bidder must submit only one quotation.

4. Validity of quotations:

The quotation shall remain valid for a period not less than 1 year after the

deadline fixed for submission of quotations.

5. Evaluation of quotations:

The Purchaser will evaluate and compare the quotations determined to be

substantially responsive i.e., which are properly signed, and conform to the

terms and conditions and specifications in the following manner:

(a) The evaluation will be done excluding the sales tax. If the bidder has

included the sales tax in his quotation for the item rate, it will treated as

though it is exclusive of the sales tax and no down loading of sales tax will be

made;

( The evaluation would be made for each item separately. The bidder who has

offered his quotation for partial quantity would be treated as non-responsive.

Purchaser will award the contract for each item separately to the lowest

responsive bidder of that item.

6. Award of contract

(a) The Purchaser will award the contract to the bidder whose quotation has been

determined to be substantially responsive and who has offered the lowest price

as per para 5 (a+ above.

( The Purchaser reserves the right at the time of contract award to increase

or decrease the quantities of items indicated in para 1 above by 25% without any

change in the unit price or any other terms and conditions.

© The Purchaser prior to the expiration of the quotation validity period will

notify the bidder whose quotation is accepted of the award of contract. The

terms of the accepted offer shall be incorporated in the Purchase order.

(d) Payment shall be made within 15 days after the delivery of the goods and

their acceptance.

(e) Notwithstanding the above, the Purchaser reserves the right to accept or

reject any quotations and to cancel the bidding process and reject all

quotations at any time prior to the award of the contract.

7. Last date and time of receipt of quotations:

You are requested to submit the sealed quotations superscribed on the envelope

as “QUOTATIONS FOR SUPPLY OF OSD AND DISP. SYRINGES due on 10th August 2008

latest by Fourteen (14:00) hrs.
