Writers, artists?

I was wondering yesterday how many of us are in the creative fields.

With our backgrounds, many with parents not exactly encouraging self-expression,

I was curious if any of you turned to writing, art, music, etc. to feel " heard. "

I've always written -- even that was threatening to my mother. I would be

writing in my journal and she would want to know what I was writing. " I'm dying

to know what you're writing about... " Yeesh.
