Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, Nice to meet you ) Yes, I was referring to the Xmas pics of your triplets. Jerry's pictures are not up yet; I am planning on taking some soon and getting them scanned, just haven't gotten around to it. It would seem that Jerry doesn't weigh too much more than in that picture; Jerry's 27 lbs. That's only an eleven pound difference and Jerry is 7! Wow, like I said, just by looking at your son, I know that Jerry is definitely RSS. Many of the children whose pix were on that site resembled Jerry a great deal. for one; and the other I can't remember his name. (terrible memory, looked at the pix yesterday and forgot kids names by today, lol) Jerry seems, on the whole, to be thinner than the kids in those pictures, though. I suppose that's because he's 41 inches tall and 27 lbs; I guess he'd look a little chunkier were he say 35 inches tall. He has the same frail chest as the little girl in the first picture that shows up in the list of pix on there. His stomach looks a bit distended most of the time too, but interestingly, I never thought much about that, since you can also see little baby sized abdominal muscles over his distended belly. Another thing I wanted to ask people on the list..... Did you find that your children had trouble writing? Jerry spells very well (Now that he's on Ritalin, lol) and he can read, but writing is a chore. I tend to let him slide after about 5 written repetitions of each of his 20 spelling words because he complains that his hands hurt. And I know that they must; he has tiny little wrists, and it just looks like the sort of activity that would be painful. The doctors have him on physical therapy to strengthen the muscles in his wrists. They seem to worry too much, to me at least, that he's not able to write as long or as skillfully as the other children his age. But the way I look at it, he has the hands of a one year old child; he's just not going to be able to control a pencil as well as other 7 year old kids and I don't think they have a realistic goal here. (to get him writing like other kids his age within a year's time). So did anyone else have kids who had trouble handling a pencil? He's not uncoordinated; he can catch and throw a ball and he can play pick-up-sticks very well. He just can't make his letters look neat and not sloppy and childish like a pre-schoolers. Thanks for your time, Robin, maternal aunt to Jerry, aged 7, 27 lbs and 41 inches tall, ADHD
Guest guest
Hi Robin, I'm Cheryl, 's Mom. I don't think we've talked yet, but glad to meet ya. If you're referring to the XMAS picture of all of us, he's 22 months old. He's around 16 lbs. in that pix. Are Jerry's pics. out there? 's always had full cheeks. When he was a baby, his cheeks were kind of tight and all you wanted to do was kiss them to loosen them up. The tightness has gone away, but they're still on the full side. He's got big brown eyes and long eye lashes. I saw a picture once on the HGF Foundations pamphlet of RSS kids. There were 2 children on the cover - 1 is Jodi's Max wearing the Arizona hat, and the other little boy looked exactly like my . That's when I said to myself there's no doubt he's RSS. So, if Jerry truly looks like , I'm sure he is too. Sometimes you just go by the " look " . Guest guest
Carmen, You have a beautiful family! Your son looks so much like my son! I know you've already posted all the info, but can you tell me again how much Storm weighed at birth? I loved the two month pic, had the same out- fit. I have it put up. I have a ever growing box of momentous. When is 19 and brings home a girl friend I plan on bringing out all the fun stuff for show and tell. Ha, Ha. Danna Mom to Carol, and 4 RSS. Guest guest
Hi Carmen We can't make it to the convention this year. Between work and school the time isn't there. We live in Georgia, closer to North Carolina than Atlanta. weighed 3 pounds and 8 ounces at birth. I'd love to see how plays with a real peer group, one that is size equivalent as well as age equivalent. Danna Mom to Carol, and 4 RSS. Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet.
