Can Lysine cause blisters? Is this a sign of a virus?

A couple of weeks ago, we started my son on lysine and arginine since it was

recommended due to his low levels. A few days later, he started getting

blisters on his face, back, chest. Not many, around 5 blisters. His behavior

also seemed to deteriorate. He started spinning, flapping his hands, and doing

head stands when he hadn't done those in about a month. I spoke w/our dan about

this and he recommended to stop the amino acids.

But...he was never checked for viral infection on any of the tests. Do you

think him breaking out like that could be due to underlying virus? Should we

try the lysine again and just see what happens? I'm at loss. Our Dan just

dismissed this breakout and is having us give son circumin now (which isn't

doing a thing for him).
