Dear Deepika and friends at HRLN

Thank you for sharing this explanatory mail and outcome of the PIL. It is indeed

surprising to us that this has taken so long to realise.

Congratulations! But, in the realisation of the rail travel concession for PLHA,

why 50% when the every other person with an incurable and chronic illness has

been awarded a 75% concession on cost of rail ticket. This is discrimination,

unacceptable and has to be corrected.

It is possible for a person with HIV/AIDS to get a certification from the

appropriate health and social welfare authorities that s/he is suffering from a

chronic and incurable retro-viral infection.

With such a certficate, s/he is entitled to get a 75% concession on cost of rail

ticket, without compromising confidentiality? No further questions need be asked

or answered.

So, why this fuss about 50% concession and confidentiality? Enlighten me,

please.

Tell Laloo that there was a clerical error in his aam aadmi railway budget, he

will be happy to correct the figure!

best wishes
