Guest guest
Deep breath. Give your body a chance to catch up. Keep exercising and eating right. You are gaining muscle too. Hide your scale for a few weeks. Keep a journal about how you feel and how your clothes feel on your body. Pay less attention to the numbers on the scale. This may help you to focus on keeping your body and mind healthy. Good luck. Carol 2 years and 4 mos out. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Guest guest
I am also at a plateau for about 2 or 3 weeks now. The thing is I know what I need to do...increase the protein and calories and exercise and that will probably bust it, but I am having a hard time finding the motivation to do so. Now especially, I need to do all of the above because I am having surgery on my shoulder on Friday for a torn rotator cuff. I know my body will need the extra protein and the exercise will help me heal in the long run, but I am getting worried about this surgery. I won't be able to take most of the effective pain meds after the surgery and I am hoping against hope that the pain is very minimal afterwards, but when they go screwing the muscle into the bone, I am sure it is going to hurt more afterwards than I might be ready for. But I also know that I need this done so that I can work out properly once I have clearance to lift weights etc. As it is now, I have a hard time hooking my bra and other things that we normally take for granted. I think I am more nervous about the shoulder surgery than I was for the GBP. Guest guest
I am so sorry you are going through this. Remember, this is not an easy road and it takes patience unfortunately something we are all short of. You can do this. I don't know what you are going through just yet. So I can't give you some wisdom. I hope you are ok. Talk to you soon. Guest guest
Try not to get yourself down. Im not on the loser side yet but I have started to try to lose on my own until my surgery date arrives. Try something new. Something you haven't done before. Something you have wanted to do and couldn't before. Walking can be so boring sometimes especially when your not having any results. Put in your favorite cd and turn it up dance around the room with your new you. Join a club just something different or lots of fun to get yourself out of your rut. Just don't get down you have much going for you now. Big Hugs Janet p.s this weekend im going to go and buy a dance mat and game for our xbox and going to learn some dance moves.
