Guest guest
It is very exciting. I have been doing WW's for 10 months. I didn't believe when I started that I would actually stick with it. But WW's is not a difficult program. It WORKS if you WORK it! 240.5/170/165 Stamping Scrapbooking Mommy wrote: > That is VERY exciting !! Guest guest
WOW, !!! hooray!! Now, forgive me if someone else has asked this already, what do you think has made the difference in getting to this point. You're only 5 pounds from GOAL!!! What's your favorite recipe? How do you get out the door to exercise when you don't want to? Share your wisdom, oh slim one!!!
Guest guest
After only a few weeks OP I couldn't believe how good I felt. That in itself has been a big motivator. Whenever I go off program I feel all " icky " , I would really rather not feel like this. I really enjoy fruits and veggies and for the most part I do not find it difficult to eat within my range. I have found that on the days I really feel like I need some chocolate, chips ect. (and this only happens about once a month fortunately). I just let myself have it. I bank points daily and earn usually about 3 AP's a day so I don't feel too bad about splurging and it hasn't hurt me too bad so far. I always have 0 point soup, white chicken chili (Tory's website) and other homemade soups etc. frozen in single serving containers in the freezer. Helps me to stay on program through the day. I run a daycare so lunch is hectic. Now I can grab a healthy lunch fast. My favorite recipe by far has to be the pineapple angel food cake. It is so simple to make and so good on its own. I make it for company and potlucks all the time. When I want to dress it up a bit I add ultra low fat cool whip and some fresh berries. For me, finding the best time of day to exercise was very important. After trying many different times I have found that first thing in the morning works best for me. I aim for at least 5 days a week. I exercise at home so getting out the door isn't an issue. I really like my treadmill. I walk, but with the incline way up so that I sweat. I do this for 30 minutes. I usually do 15 minutes of weights and crunches as well. A friend gave me a rower the other day so I am slowly adding that to my routine as well. I love pilates but had to give that up months ago since it really bothered my sciatic. However as I approach goal I am not so concerned about losing weight as I am about toning and firming. I have decided to give the pilates a try again. Slowly of course, and if it bothers me still I will stop and find another alternative. There are plenty of days I do not feel like exercising. Usually I make myself get up and try anyways. Usually once I get started I'm glad I did. On the odd day that I really don't feel like it (not feeling well, or I went to bed too late) I allow myself to sleep. But I need a good excuse! Something I have found that works for me (but may sound really silly) is that I print out a calendar every month and post it by my computer. Seeing as I check email about 4 times a day I am always seeing this calendar as a reminder. At the beginning of the month I write my current weight. I put a happy face sticker on everyday that I exercise. I also have a sticker on weigh in days to write any losses/gains. At the end of the month I put my end weight. I keep all the calendars. I can see at a glance how often I am exercising. 240.5/170/165 Diane Loupe wrote: > WOW, !!! hooray!! Guest guest
It does feel great to be eating healthy. I don't miss that overful bloated feeling I used to get all the time. Those days when you feel like crawling to the couch after a meal! Now if only I would have " clued " in sooner. WW's is not a difficult concept. 1. Eat healthy 2. Watch your portions 3. Be active 240.5/170/165 cschmoldt wrote: > WOW! and a big CONGRATULATIONS on the 70 pounds. Feels great to be > eating healthy doesn't it? You keep it up. Guest guest
I do the calendar also. On mine I have start and end date, monthly loss, Year to date loss, BMI and how many days that month I exercised. On each day I get a star for OP days, write exercisedown and total points for the day. I also make monthly goals and write those in the empty space on the calendar. Things like total monthly loss (usually make it a pound per week, this months was 5 pounds) Milestone weights, like 10 pounds. Things like that. It is very motivational. I have mine in a notebook that I keep on my desk and then carry home on the weekends to write in. -- Re: 70 lbs Finally! After only a few weeks OP I couldn't believe how good I felt. Guest guest
I hear you . When I'm not on program I feel strange. I started feeling so good after just a month of eating correctly. My skin cleared up. (Although right now post-surgery I'm having a puberty moment...what is up with that? Someone told me that it's a common after-effect of anesthesia.) Also, my heartburn was gone. I have seriously had one single case of heartburn since February 2, 2002. I used to have it at least two or three times a week. When I was just out of the hospital I went ahead and just ate to gain. I journaled, but didn't worry about my points. I hated it. I seriously HATED it. I know that sounds completely strange but as I may have mentioned before, I am kind of a control (what is a nice word for freak?) person and I felt out of control. The second week I went back on program, just eating at a high point level, and it was like " WHEW! One less thing to worry about! " (Odd that counting, journaling, and weighing food makes me feel LESS stress.) I'm an odd duck. I admit it. Wow! Mr. America ISN'T Hulk Hogan! I am so relieved. (Yeah, I watch WWE...wanna make something of it?)

Guest guest
World Wrestling Entertainment Aka " Big Time Wrestling " One of my former students (had him in classes for five years) is working towards becoming a professional wrestler. He got me into watching it every now and then. Then in March my husband wanted to make sure that I had the best birthday month ever doing all sorts of different things before going into surgery, so he actually got us tickets to Wrestlemania. Guest guest
Well that's what the lie detector said! Oh Vince was MAD! I just get such a kick out of the histrionics of the entire thing. Vince looks at Hog...err, Mr. America with his beady, angry little eyes. Cracks me up. Ironically before Mr. America even came out of his dressing room the first time I just *KNEW* it was Hogan. I couldn't believe it when Vince beat him and forced him to retire. Then when Vince's daughter came out with that look on her face, I knew I was right. Guest guest
Hahahah! We didn't get the PPV Wrestlemania because we WENT there! Wahoo! It comes out on DVD this week so we're going to get it. Guest guest
OK, you are a bigger Dork than I am Heehee. The only reason we have not went to see one is because none have been in our area lately. The Rock is making a movie or something like that. He has not been on since Godlberg beat him. I did hear last Sunday that he was going to be coming back soon, maybe Judgement Day. -- RE: 70 lbs Finally! > > > > I hear you . > > > > When I'm not on program I feel strange. Guest guest
Oh thank GOODNESS! He is one fine piece of man, and I'm sure VERY low in points. My sister met him once and about lived on that for a week. He was at Wrestlemania and is quite yummy in person. Unfortunately he wasn't at the Meet the Wrestlers party the night before. (See, I'm telling you. Total dork. I did get my picture taken with Team Angle, though.) ~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~` Tory Klementsen, MCP A+ Career and Technology Educator The successful person will do things that the unsuccessful person will not. > RE: 70 lbs Finally! > > > > > > I hear you . > > > > > > When I'm not on program I feel strange. Guest guest
I had to buy the Scorpion King on DVD just for him, can totally turn down the sound and just watch him. My BF bought me a life size Rock poster but he did forbid me to hang it in the bedroom. I had to hang out of sight, so it is on the back of my closet door. I would have to say that I am loving Rob VanDam these days. I liked Christian before he dorked out with his $700 haircut. -- RE: 70 lbs Finally! > > > > > > I hear you . > > > > > > When I'm not on program I feel strange. Guest guest
Too funny. I should move mine and just tell him that I thought it was so sweet of him to buy it for me that it deserves more respect than being hung in the closet. -- Re: 70 lbs Finally! LOL.. That is funny.
