Guest guest
Hi there. I am probably going to get stoned here, but on the glycemic diet, there are certain foods which have a zero value, in other words, you can eat those at any time. One of my favourites here is tomatoes. I am a bit naughty in that I have a tomato sandwich as a snack but I use the heavy seed loaf which has a low GI value. I love the pips in the bread and so it is not a mission for me to eat seed loaf. You don't often have diets where the stuff you like, is actually allowed or at least, allowed to a certain extent. Guest guest
The GI works on a different philosophy. It is concerned with absorption of sugars and the rate at which they are absorbed rather than the amount of carbohydrates that foodstuffs have. The Mandosa web site also has a lot of info on it. I will send you the link later. Park " History will be kind to me for I intend to write it. " Sir Winston Churchill. MSN ID: pageforpage@... Guest guest
You are right, Mike. The filling has a slightly different texture but otherwise they are the same Oreos. I watch how many I eat at any one time, though. Becky and Cassidy, Pilot Dog, Poodle maddpoodle27@... Guest guest
thanks, Mike. I usually only eat one every few days or so. Now if I can remember I'll ask Bob to look at the label and see for sure how many carbs and how many calories per cookie, or serving, whatever that is. Guest guest
The thing certainly has its problems, but it also presupposes that you will keep a watch on your readings. Someone asked me about this diet a couple of years ago in this list and I said at the time that I would not recommend it myself. If it is recommended, it has to be done by someone that knows what they are talking about. Park " History will be kind to me for I intend to write it. " Sir Winston Churchill. MSN ID: pageforpage@... Guest guest
Hi juan, My best suggestion is cut up vegetables such as celery, peppers, carrots, and mushrooms, etc. There are low fat dip recipes that you can find for dipping the veggies in to make it more interesting. Other snacks can be things such as nuts a couple of pieces of cheese,, and about 3 cups of plain popcorn. It all depends how many calories in a day you are allowed and the portion sizes you are eating to stay in the allowed calorie count. If it's just for chewing, then veggies are the best. That's all I can think of for now. Hope this helps. Ruth snacks Hello all: Hope this email finds everyone doing great. I am here once again requesting some advice. I know each body is different but I was wondering if regarding snacks anyone can suggest what's ok to have? thanks everybody
Guest guest
Hi , I'm trying to find the list of snacks I have written down, and if I find it I'll post them also. I sometimes eat a piece of fruit, or some fruit like grapes, and this is usually about 4 hours after a meal, between lunch and dinner, or late-night. yes vegetables are gooed, and so is popcorn. I have a graham cracker and some milk or hot chocolate with fat-free hot chocolate, or sugar-free nestles or hersheys for cold chocolate milk. These drinks make me feel like I have cheated, and keep me from doing so. I love nuts for a snack, about an ounce of almonds, wallnuts or others. they seem to instantly make me feel full. you could have oyster crackers or regular, not too many, a sugar-free chocolate pudding is wonderful. If I think of more I'll send them along. Vicki Breffe I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life, so that you may enjoy allthings. snacks Hello all: Hope this email finds everyone doing great. I am here once again requesting some advice. Guest guest
I like raw cabbage, and a whole wedge of raw cabbage is tasty and filling, and it contains around four carbs. snacks > Hello all: > Hope this email finds everyone doing great. > I am here once again requesting some advice. > I know each body is different but I was wondering if regarding snacks > anyone can suggest what's ok to have? > thanks everybody > > >
