Another Good Heavens! $19 for 50 strips? It would pay to purchase one just

for that reason.

Hi folks,

I just saw this from Maxiaids and thought someone might know if it is for

real..

Talking Blood Glucose Monitoring System

Large LCD screen is easy to read. Voice capability reads results or can be

shut off. Virtually pain-free testing with results in 6 seconds.

More Info

SPECIAL PRICE! $89.95

$89 does not sound like anything Maxiaids would ever do?

HI Mike:

I knew there was a reason that I didn't opt for the Prodigy and you have

reminded me.

Hi Otis:

I wonder if maybe the code is written on the bottle of strips in print and

not in Braille and that is the problem?

Hi All,

I received my prodigy meter last Thursday and have began getting used to it.

The only thing that when you start a new abottle of strips you have to have a

sighter person help you set the code. It does not talk.

The blood is easy to get on and does not take much.

Well, if I can answer any questions just let me know.

Hi Cy:

when I was having trouble with my insurance company in purchasing the

Voicemate I received literature from a friend on the Prodigy. I seriously

considered ordering it and showed the information to Bob. the reason that we

decided against this particular meter escapes me now but I think it had

something to do with entering the strip code, or something along those

lines.

But, I do agree with you that 89 bucks is a lot cheaper than 500 dollars is

and if 89 dollars is all that someone has it is the difference being able to

test and not being able to. the Prodigy might be the only meter that someone

can afford and it does have its purpose.

Hi all,

When the Sensocard Plus meter becomes available in the states, the problem

of the calibrating the meter each time you obtain a new pot of strips will

be resolved. As each pot has an additional strip tucked inside the box.

This strip is inserted into the meter on the lefthand side edge of the

meter, and will automatically calibrate the meter up for that pot of strips.

Hi Pat,

The number that I called about and ordered the Prodigy meter from is as follows:

800:799:1477

I paid $75 for the meter, strips lancet holder and lancets and the liquid for

calibrating the meter.

For me this is a months supply about but will probably last longer. From what

they said they call when they think it time to order more strips and so forth.

That is about all I can tell you at this time.

My friend just bought one directly from the manufacturer and it was $75.

This included the prodigy, a bottle ostrips, control solution and lancets.

If you want the 800 number, I have it.

Hi Pat,

Well, I think that I am still trtying to catch up with sleep even though I did

not stay up late. We just did not have any time to ourselves when we went to

our room even. Next year it will be different for me.

It was a great convention. I think one of the best we have had. Pam Shaw was

our guest speaker and she was a hit with everyone.

Have a great day.
