Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Well, here I am sitting at home until Monday at least.. I awakened to a very painful, throbbing pain in my big toe early this am.. like 4 amish.. I took some vicodin and went back to bed, hoping that I would be able to work today. Well, this morning, I got up, got dressed only to find I couldnt stand any pressure on my big toe.. it is red, hot to the touch, swollen and very painful.. no stockings or shoes on that bad boy today. I ended up spending the morning in the urgent care.. my regular doc is off Fridays, The urgent care doctor suspected gout, did a blood uric acid level, and some xrays. He determined it wasnt gout due to the blood tests being normal.. and the xrays looking ok..He said with it being so swollen, red and painful, he was suspicious of infection in the big toe.. so gave me rx for antibiotics.. cipro and pain meds.. lortab. I am not to bear weight unless going to the bathroom for the next three days.. and to stay off work.. If not better on Monday, I have to go in and see my regular doctor or return to the urgent care. Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes and prayers if so inclined. Hugs, from GA open RNY 12/12/00 Revision 04/18/01 Revision 02/07/02 St wt.... 392 Cw........199 Wt loss..-
