Glucophage - tired

I started taking Glucophage (1500 mg at dinner) about 2 + months ago.

Recently, I have been very tired. Seem to wake up more often during thenight.

The tired is not the unpleasant kind. Just sort of feel - in the middle of the

day - " gosh, it would be nice to take a nap " . I seem to fall asleep easily and

have a pleasant 1-2 hour sleep. This can be as early as 3 hours after I get up.

This sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks

Tammy,

Normal levels are between 65 and 110 for ppl who are not diabetic. Some ppl

like to shoot for these numbers as closely as possible, some give themselves

a little leeway, say, from 70 to 120. 123 is a bit high for the fasting

test in the morning, yes, but you haven't been in good control so it's not

surprising it's that. You'd probably be better off not fasting for so long

and eating a small protein snack before bedtime. I'm not sure how to manage

diabetes with things like glucophage because I'm a type 1 and have to do the

insulin dance. Perhaps someone else who takes glucophage could help with

this?

Luck,

Caitlyn

Hi,

Let's take one step at a time. What did you have for breakfast?

Hugs
