Prednisone

Sorry if you folks have covered this.

I experience something daily that I think is a reaction to the

Prednisone. Anybody else? Within an hour after taking it, I get

intensely sleepy. It lasts for 60-90 minutes, then I'm awake (as I ever

am.) Of course, if I take it at night, I don't sleep, even with the

Ambien. Even now that I'm down to 2.5 mg/day, this still happens. I'm

getting really tired of it (no pun intended), but I'm terrified of

going off it because I think the incredible improvement I've

experienced is due to the steroid and not to the methotrexate. (And

certainly not to the Plaquenil--the only thing that seems to have done

is evicted my hair!) Any thoughts at all are welcome.
