Hi . I have fresh ginger root here. I read that it helped with upset stomach.

I have been rudely awaken the last few nights with the colitis again.

My stomach is very queasy tonight. I have only drank herbal decaf teas and water all day today.

I usually drink peppermint, chamomille, spearmint, honey, and decaf green teas.

The other day, I put fresh ginger root in my tea, and I think I overloaded it, made my stomach more upset and very acidy as well. I have to take some nexium.

I was burping ginger up all night after that. I wound up taking 25 mg of phenergen.

What amount of fresh ginger root to a regular size cup of tea would you use?

I guess I better start keeping ginger ale and ginger cookies in the house again. I love them both anyhow.
