Dear FORUM,

This posting refer to Chhattisgarh SACS being closed down.

The address of CGSACS which you have written is ok and correspondence can be

done.I have worked on HIV/AIDS in Chhattisgarh from 1998 to 2005 with one

international agency. But this is really very rediculous to konw that project

director has sacked all staff members.

There is a lot do in Chhattisgarh which is considred low prevalence but it has

high vulnerability. To my konwledge SACS has not been able to establish any

succesful TIs. There are many other International and Nationalwho are working on

NGO but there has not been efective coordination by SACS which could bring

positive change.

The staff members in CGSACS have always been well motivated and dedicated but

they were lacking good leadership.

But this kind of action taken by project director is going to make the program

very disastareous.

Regards

Irfan

Dear FORUM,

The NACO is a teethless office to have any control over SACS.

In MP the MPSACS has not made reimbusrement of funds used by NGOs in

interventions on filmsical ground. The NGOs have been witing to NACO & secretary

health but nothing has happened. Therefore what is so special about Chhattisgarh

episode. Nothing happens, if reports are given on fictious numbers. Let us be

immune. How does it matters on the salary of the government officers if no

result is obtained. That is what democracy is in buracratic terms.

Who is bothered for these poor state of affairs. People like me & others will

only add another junk on internet.

Dear FORUM,

This is indeed a sad state of affairs !.

Continuum of Care, including its administrative componenet is the Hallmark of

effective HIV/AIDS Care. It is even more unfortunate that such an eventuality

was not considered at State and National level.

This speaks volumes of our so-called " Enlightened Leadership " . And then they

have the temerity to speak down to people, organisations and systems that work

at grass-roots level.

Our country and its suffering people will find ways despite them.

We all have to work harder to help those in administration see the light.
