Guest guest
Nina, UAE is (Uterine Artery Embolization). It is a procedure that uses the leg artery in the leg (groin) as a " highway. " A catheter is inserted and inched along to the artery that is feeding the fibroids. The artery is then blocked with PVA, small pellets the size of sand or a gel foam. This procedure has been around for over 20 years, but recently, 10 years in France and about 5 years in this country. Please go to Carla's WEB site, http://www.uterinefibroids.com to find out more.
