prolactinoma

Oh yeah, something else that is bugging me. Is anyone here familiar

with a prolactinoma? I have, or possibly had one. It started out with my

prolactin level at about 43 and they did an MRI and found the prolactinoma

was 8 mm x 9mm. They put me on cabergoline for a year which dropped my

prolactin level to about 2 and shrunk the prolactinoma to 7 mm x 7 mm. We

decided to stop the cabergoline since it wasn't helping much. My prolactin

is now up to 45, but the last time I had an MRI, by a different tech, they

said there wasn't a prolactinoma. I asked my current endo and he said maybe

it burst. That sounds so far fetched to me. Plus, I just had a bunch of my

teeth pulled and got a full upper plate and I'll be getting a lower partial

here shortly. The oral surgeon was concerned with something that he saw in

my x-rays and asked me what I was seeing my endo for. I told him thyroid

and the prolactinoma. He had a second x-ray made to take to him to check it

out. My endo flipped out, refused to even look at the x-ray, yelled at me

and said he wasn't a radiologist and that my dentist wasn't an endo or a

radiologist and got really upset that I questioned the reading on the MRI.

I told him I had a few decisions to make. I didn't tell him, but my first

decision is who my new endo will be. He really hasn't helped me too much

and I really hate to think that I'm walking around with an active

prolactinoma and it's being ignored. Any input would be great!
