Guest guest
Yep, that's it. I guess it's weakness and fatigue. Kathy Re: touch pads Very rarely my hands actually shake. more often I feel shaky and weak on the inside, but no actual shaking if that makes any sense? Guest guest
Kathy, I'll ask you this because i know you're one of the people on here that has been primarily dx'd as having FMS because the docs can't figure out anything else. When you say you feel shaky inside, I understand that very well but I also have been having episodes where I tremble so badly (usually more noticeable if I'm lying down) that I think I must be having some kind of seizure. It's not the same kind of jerking as with the RLS but about the only part of me that isn't trembling will be my head. Jane touch pads OK--everyone with a touch pad instead of a mouse---I've seen them on laptops, but do they come on a regular keyboard too? I'm thinking of getting one if they do. Thanks for any input. Guest guest
Jane - I shake like that sometimes also especially if I'm tired or feeling really bad, except my head will also shake. We've just said that it was essential or famial tremors, which run in my family.

Guest guest
Sometimes I tremble and my head moves unless it's rest against something, but not as badly as you're describing. Maybe it's a side effect of one of your meds? Kathy touch pads OK--everyone with a touch pad instead of a mouse---I've seen them on laptops, but do they come on a regular keyboard too? Guest guest
Has anyone ever given you anything for you essential tremors? My business partner has that and her neurologist told her to take 25000 IU of betacarotene/day and 1500 IU of Vitamin C. I could always tell if she had forgotten to take her meds. The neurologist told her that it wouldn't hurt her and it most probably would help her...which it definitely has. My shaking is totally different than what she was experiencing. Guest guest
No, I've never been on meds for it. We (me and my doc) figured that I was on enough meds already and didn't want to add to the mix. Its not that bad all the time. My Granny shakes so bad she can barely pick up a glass without spilling it and she eats with a spoon, and I don't think she takes meds for it either. My aunts and my Mom all have various degrees of it also, as do some of my cousins.

Guest guest
As long as she isn't a smoker it won't hurt her, but all the new studies show that if you smoke you shouldn't take any betacarotene supplements because it really increases the incidence of lung cancer.
