Dear Listers,

Our son who is three years old has been on GFCF for the last four

months. Both before and after we introduced GFCF he had Badbreath

(Halitosis). It used to be pronounced in the morning when he woke up

but it prevailed to a lesser degree through the day( He brushed his

teeth twice a day !!).

We introduced kirkman's Enzymeaid with DPP iv a month ago and guess

what??.There is absolutely no badbreath at all even when he wakes

from his sleep and the breath remains fresh through the day !!!.Has

this happened to others as well?? We are convinced this indicates

something .Would be grateful if anyone who knows what this could

mean replies either through the list or privately.

Thanks,

RV

I have not tried the enzymaid- but if you get any responses explaining

this, could you pass it on? I have two kids with real problems in this

area, and would like some insight.

Bad breath often indicates gut issues so this would make sense...

Just to add on, my son has Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's

Disease). When he was in a major illness mode, his breath was

terrible (dragon breath). It did come from a very sick gut and

abscess.

Two other things that we have found to be helpful with breath/gut are

probiotics and natural anti-fungals.

  • 7 years later...

This happened at the end of my babies treatment. We had already decided we were pleased with the results and ready to graduate. And the ortho said she was growing out of the band. So in our case we stopped and graduated, She had been banded for 12 weeks.

has this happened to anyone??

so I have noticed the last 2 days that my son is developing a ridge in his head where the hole is in the top of his helmet...and its not going away when the helmet is off... its like his head is growing up through the top...I asked the ortho about it and she said that does not happen very often but that she can adjust the helmet for that, we will see her tomorow....it does not seem too tight but now I am wondering if the fit is good or not??? don't want him to grow a muffin top head! any one have this kind of thing happen??le mom to 6 mos
