Hey, I love carrots. I'd also use broccoli and cauliflower. But you should

eat what YOU like. If you're planning to eat these dips with abandon, use

non-fat versions of sour cream, cream cheese etc. The recipes posted were

VERY high calorie. (Just look at the nutrition label on sour cream. That was

the main ingredient in one of the dips. Stirring in a little spinach or

lemon isn't going to magically subtract calories. Using fat free or low fat

sour cream will...)

Yikes! I looked up the calories on most Mcs meals. When I end up in a

Mcs, I order small portions. Small burger, small fries, 1% milk has

fewer calories than a big mac... (And it costs something like $2.19 if you

see the All America Meal listed in tiny print on the bottom of the menu.)

You know what-- I buy frozen steamed dumplings. The calorie and fat content

varies-- but it's usually not that high! The lower fat version would give

you something like 250 calories with 6 frozen dumplings. The higher fat ones

might be 500 calories. Of course... Maybe the restaurant dumplings are

BIGGER than the frozen ones....

If you love dumplings, find a Chinese food store. Flip over all the packages

and find the lower fat ones (they taste just as good as far as my hubby,

brothers in law and I can tell.) Buy a bamboo steamer, and steam them

yourself. It takes about 20 minutes to prepare. The sauces are salty-- but

low calorie. (You might want to balance the meal by finding something like

edame-- fresh soybeans-- or some other vegetable dish. But heck... The

dumplings are good.)

Anyway, good luck.

Don't worry about it. That only happened to me because I wasn't eating and

losing weight very quickly. I think that if you lose it slowly and correctly,

your body...along with it's skin will adjust accordingly.

Hello Group,

There are so many wonderfull, delicious things to eat out there in the

supermarkets, that are healthy, and good for us.......I have eaten a lot of

tofu, and i love it...but..on a low fat, healthy, low-meat whatever diet...Tofu

is not the only " healthy " choice........I do all my grocery shopping at 3

places.......I am not sure if they have these all over the country but I am sure

they do.....I go to BI-LO...wal-mart supercenter that has a HUGE wonderfull

market..and Kroger.....Natures Own breads are fabulous..low fat.....Miss

Mirangue cookies you can have 4 and they are fat free and they melt in your

mouth they taste like icre -cream......Garden burgers hands down beat tofu

anyday, they are veggie burgers and they are fabulous, please before i get

bombarded with oooo thats gross.. you must try them first before you knock them

I come from a family of cattle breeders and was raised on meat and potatoes and

i honestly cannot tell the difference in thier flame grilled gardenburgers and

the real thing.......I roast my potatoes with non stick cooking spray soo yummy

esp sweet potatoes........healthy choice has a wonderfull low fat smoked sausage

that is great......so there is really no excuse for nto finding good food out

there, you just have to do your homwork and make a list and go for it.....oh

dont forget the FF pringles......and wow chips, ....you could eat a whole bag

for under 500 calories and no fat.....jus ttake the plung and try new things,

you wont regret it......it is how i lost almost 25 pounds the first month of my

WW winning points diet.....i am never hungry.......i invite anyone to check this

diet out, it has saved my life.......I will never go back to my old way of

eating agian, i have no excuse i can have the same foods only the low fat

version

Well, it is true that you can't spot reduce, and fat can't be " firmed up "

through exercise. You can have " hangie-arm-stuff " because of fat, or flabby

muscle. The exercise can firm up the muscle. If you have lots of body fat,

well, you've got to lose that.

Well... I did see an add for two magical " fat patches " in one of my

magazines.

One patch could be applied to a fatty area you wanted to reduce -- and it

would supposedly help you mobilize the fat there. Then, if you dieted and

exercised, your body would burn that fat. It's supposed to work on any body

part you want-- but they warn that you shouldn't apply it over your whole

body all at once.

The other patch was designed for your bust. It helped PREVENT your body from

mobilizing the fat there....

If you're willing to spend roughly $200 a month for each item, you can

experiment away...

(Oh-- both are made by the same company....)

Uhhhmmmm... I'm saving my money until I read the exciting results published

in the Wall Street Journal. After all, if the products DO work, this should

affect the companies stock price! The Wall Street Journal DOES cover

breakthroughs on fat loss products quite regularly -- because products that

work do affect stock price.

Actualy Lucia,

Because you are such a healthy eater - for you I doubt they would

work to loose wieght --- but say you were going to have a bbq and eat

ribs or maybe a slice of cake (fatty foods), to help keep from

having " unfavorable results " the fat blockers (assuming they are a

good brand with high quality products manufactured correctly)...would

probably do well.

Let me take a guess. You were careful of fat, and not eating often

throughout the day? Is that how you were eating before starting

these?

You surely didn't try that horrid atkins diet again?

<paces back and forth>

Certainly not.

If you were already eating like I guessed above, then you were doing

all by yourself what those pills are supose to do for you, which = no

change of course.

Are you eating enough calories? Taking cacium supliments if not

drinking milk?

Now I can't follow this advice myself, but I can see it big time in

my husband - if you like, can tollerate realy hot stuff - eat hot

stuff with / on your meals.

i just eat when i am hungry. about 3 times a day and i eat light but sometimes i

eat a little extra stuff like low fat ice cream. i figure about 1300 calories a

day. i was not exercising though. still am not exercising. i did it a few times

but then i quit. i am bad about not exercising.
