Civil society and HIV and AIDS in India

Dear FORUM,

I am a Delhi-based writer, photographer and development policy analyst

specialising in public health. I have been focussing on HIV and AIDS,

particularly in South Asia, for the past several years and contribute regularly

to The Lancet group of publications. I have also authored several monographs on

different aspects of the unfolding epidemic for the UN and other agencies.

The Munich Institute of Social Sciences has approached me to contribute a

chapter in their forthcoming book on civil society. My theme is civil society

and HIV and AIDS in India.

I would appreciate it very much if colleagues who are part of civil society

initiatives in India share their valuable insights with me on this issue.
