Guest guest
Hello, Gennifer...... and welcome. My daughter started the diet in October of last year just after she turned 4. She has partial Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (a mouthful of words to say that she is missing a piece of her brain!) and microcephaly. None of the drugs worked..... some made her have MORE seizures. The diet started working the first day...... and she has only had 2 seizures since then (two separate occasions, with fevers). This is a great place to learn about the diet. Patti, mom to Katera...... 4 years, 8 months...... med free Keto Kid. New here Hello my name is Gennifer and my daughter is Caramia. She is a 3 1/2 year old who has Cerebral Palsy, microencphly, hearing loss, and cortical blindness, seizures. The last is what brings us here. She has been on a number of different meds. Most make her tired. We are currently taking her off tomomax. Are considering the ketodiet. Just wanted to introduce ourselves. Gennifer and Caramia. Guest guest
Gennifer... Welcome to the group. My son is microcephlic as well. The diet has enabled him to progress much more rapidly than he did on all the meds. It is well worth the effort...here's hoping you get to give it a try! Nan and Sevi (microcephalic, dev. delays, seizures, cortical visual impairment and as cute can be!) ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: ketogenic To: <ketogenic > Subject: New here Date: Sun, 20 May 2001 19:12:36 -0500 Hello my name is Gennifer and my daughter is Caramia. Guest guest
Welcome , I had to read this twice, because I could have written it. I was just diagnosed with BU by HSG, US and MRI this month. We have been ttc for 20 months. I have other fertility issues, am on Chlomid, finally don't have to use progesterone anymore, and my hubby has boderline low sperm count (not morph). We will be beginning IUI in a little over two weeks. I'll let you know about it when it happens if you want. Dr also told us we may be looking at IVF. Hoping for the best for you, > Hello, > > I have been lurking for sometime and learning a lot!! I have know for quite > some time that something wasn't " quite right " about my uterus. Guest guest
, I wish you the best of luck with your IUI this month!! I would really love to hear how everything goes for you. Out of curiousity, is there a reason that your Dr. took you off of progesterone and did you ever have your period be " late " while on progesterone? I am new to the Chlomid and Progesterone thing, just looking for some information. > >Reply-To: MullerianAnomalies >To: MullerianAnomalies >Subject: Re: New Here >Date: Sat, 05 Jan 2002 16:37:12 -0000 > >Welcome , > >I had to read this twice, because I could have written it. Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am Jen and I am new here. I really look forward to getting to know everyone and sharing support/stories. A little about me: I am 34, and have been dieting since I can remember. It started by watching my mother diet and practically obsess about food. So obviously, my unhealthy relationship with food runs deep. I never had a weight problem, but always thought I did. I restricted severly in high school and had great results, and when I went to college wound up gaining the Freshman 40. Through strict diets/smoking I was able to lose the weight again. When I got married I got pregnant almost right away and was told I could eat whatever I wanted, that whatever I gained was only " baby weight " . I gained 87 pounds, finally allowing myself to eat the foods I had restricted from myself for my entire adult life. Going back to a restrictive diet was so hard that I was unable to do it and continued to be overweight and eating out of control until after my second child. We found out she had severe food alergies, so to keep her healthy I had to go on a strict elimination diet, only eating 5 foods for about 6 months. COupled with exercise, I lost a lot of weight and felt great. After about a year I started nursing school and stress ate my way back to an unhealthy weight. During this time, I'd still restricted and had a lot of the behaviors described in the book, including Last Supper Eating. Oh, I am an expert on that one!!! So now it is two years later and I finally found this book. I started the book and the new eating on Saturday, and I haven't felt this good or this " normal " in I don't know how long. I have put my scale in the closet, and I am going to pack up all of my weight watchers, la weightloss, and fad diets up in a box and get rid of them today. I've taken my " goal " pants off the mirror where they've hung for 6 months and now look at myself without judgment. Yes this is only the 5th day, but I finally feel free. Thank you for reading my story. I really look forward to getting to know all of you. jen
Guest guest
Jen, I’m new here also. My name is Wenona and I’m 32. This paragraph describes my experience. I started Sunday so it’s day 4 for me. I have not read “Intuitive Eating” but I am reading “Thin Within” which from what I have saw so far seems to be very similar. I was doing WW for 5 months. I did okay at first. I lost about 25 or so pounds. Then I got bored and started cheating because I longed to eat cookies. As you said I’m finally free and it feels so good. It also is wonderful to have a group to share this journey with.
