Guest guest
Listmates, Is anyone using a multi vitamin 4xs a day that contains, Bs, Cs, zinc, e ect. I was wondering if there was an easier way to supplement. I have been using Animal friends from twinlabs that seems to contain enough bs, e, c and a. I break the tablets into 4 pieces. Is this okay? Is this enough? nne How much molybdenum for a 44 lb child
Guest guest
I have success with the algae program. The enzymes address the enzyme deficiency and along with the probiotics enhance the intestinal tract where absorption of nutrients takes place and elimination of toxins on a daily basis. The AFA strain of the algae has all the vitamins, mineral, elements, essential fatty acids in its natural not synthetic state. This is from ONE whole food source. Not extracted from multiple sources. All the co-factors, in a chelated form, and naturally balanced by mother nature. I have gotten my son off of all meds. My Girlfriend's daughter with Rett's was using the Synthetic med for a year and only chelated partially. She was aluminum and mercury toxic. Never had a solid stool. She used this as an adjunct, her daughter is now totally metal free and for the first time in 4 and one half years has had a solid stool! ..Joni >From: marib005@... >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Can a multi vitamin be used instead of >individual? >Date: Wed, 11 Jul 2001 15:50:36 -0000 > _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
We have used Spirulina, which is a blue green algae about 7 years now. The components of it are quite similar to the blue green algae that Joni has been using. I looked at the website and compared with a list I have for the Spirulina we have been using. I have found that it works for us like the blue green algae she is using. I am a big fan of it. ly it has helped to change our lives. It is a whole food and a great way to not only get vitamins and minerals, but amino acids, carotenoids, carbohydrates, RNA and DNA, Chlorophyll, and Fatty Acids. This is the list I have of the fatty acids in Spirulina: Lauric, Myrisic, Palmitic, Palmitoleic, Palmitolinoleic, Heptadecanoic, Stearic, Oleic, Linoleic, and my list stops there but indicates there are others. The nice thing is that what is in the Spirulina is balanced. This is from Heavenly Father. This is not a synthetic vitamin/mineral formula. We have found that it is easily digested. I am also convienced that it helps to chelate toxins. Whether it chelates heavy metals may be up for debate, but I think that is entirely possible. The company we have obtained our Spirulina has several products that have been derived from it. One is Phycotene. This is sold as a single. And it is also mixed with Beta Carotene which is derived from the Spirulina. That product is called Immune Pack. That particular product assisted in greatly improving one of our daughters who was bedridden with Fibromyalgia for nearly 2 years. Because she was less sick with colds, ear infections, etc. once she was on it, we decided to give this Immune Pack to our then 7 yr old daughter (now 12 1/2) who is/was on the Autisim Spectrum. This was done to help with her low immune system. It was not given to improve symptoms or behaviors we observed. We began using it along with Pycnogenol (pine bark) and a product called Crystal Energy. And found that using these products along with giving her Spirulina in a smoothie drink brought about great improvements in her health. She was not sick much. And when she did get a cold it lasted a short amount of time. (We did give her some Colloidal Silver at the first sign of an infection but did not use it daily once we started her on this Immune Pack, Pycnogenol and Spirulina protocol.) But the exciting thing we found as she used these supplements, was her attention span greatly increased, her ability to speak in full sentences and string sentences and complete ideas increased fairly rapidly over a span of a few months. She had better to near normal eye contact. And she needed the Para in her class at school for continuing fewer minutes each day. By 5th grade she basically did not need a Para except some during math. She shared a Para with several other children who had ADD/ADHD. She has been main streamed since Kindergarten. For me the use of Spirulina has been a great way to say good bye to hypogylcemia, depression, and have the stamina to care for our family of 6 children as well as care- give my dying mother and mother-in-law. Though is but one of the things I use, I know that it is a vital item for me to consume. Though I have not used the blue green algae that Joni has been trying to share on the list, I have to believe that is would work quite well and have similar if not the same positive benefits. Guest guest
I apologize for jumping into the middle of this thread, but what " algae program " are you referring to? Is this a product we can purchase at any healthfood store? Ricci <mbmrja@m...> wrote: > I have success with the algae program. Guest guest
The components are not the same. AFA is totally different strain and the Imperative difference is in the Processing. Flash-Freezed and Lab tested for Quality Assurance. Two different strains altogether. And CTI is the only company that has the Patent on processing. Makes a world of difference. Again Algae does not stand alone. Our children need enzymes and probiotics...and Thats a fact...Joni M. Guest guest
CTI's program. This program addresses the foundation of the body and supports it with Enzymes, probiotics and the AFA Strain of the Blue-Green Algae. It cannot be bought in stores as one dose does not fit all. You need a sponser to monitor progress and get your own individual program. If you go to my web, www.joni-jones.com. you can read my story, scroll to the bottom and read the article on autism. You can also go to View products and get to the company's web site. Once you are on their homepage, scroll to the bottom right..Journey to nutrition. Click to go inside. Each section has a ton of info. As you will see by my own story this is really a great program. That is why I hold such passion...Here if you need me... Joni M. Guest guest
In my experience very few products are brand sensitive. It is almost always in herbal extracts, not in vitamins, minerals or amino acids. However, brand sensitivity and the need for the " best " brand is often discussed in the alternative medical community, usuallly by doc's whose patients don't actually get well, but keep coming back month after month for years on end for some modest improvements. I suspect that brand sensitivity is not that much of an issue when appropriate supplements are properly prescribed for a given patient. Andy > The components are not the same. Guest guest
Jan, I, too have been taking spirulina for about 5 years now and find that it gives me a lot of energy also. I take it right before I run and notice a difference from when I don't. My question is; was your ASD daughter hyperactive before taking it and did it make her more so while on it or did it just help her to focus? I've thought about giving it to my son who is very hyper but was worried about this. Thanks. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
