Guest guest
Hi All, I'm new here and I'm not sure if I saw my introduction come through or not. Anyway I have been on Atkins for 12 weeks now. My stats are 145/119/115. Right now since I am so close to my goal weight I am focusing more on exercise and strength training than losing weight. I've been eating very close to induction level carbs still because I am just satisfied with that amount of food. One thing I am trying to do is increase my carbs without going overboard. I have cheated a bit in the last two weeks and actually lost a few pounds instead of gaining so I am thinking that maybe I need to increase my carbs a little. Of course with the cheating I have been doing, I am suffering major indigestion. Why do I occasionally eat things that make me so miserable? Its just amazing to me that I feel so good after eating when I am following this WOE and how terrible I feel when I cheat. I am starting over this week and I am going to eat the induction diet but add in more vegetables and maybe some low-carb fruits. My husband is on this WOL with me and has lost 36lbs so far. His stats are 246/210/180. Anyway is there a certain time of the month/week we are supposed to post our stats? CarbWise Market http://www.carbwise.com laura@... I just wanted to say thank you for the welcome! I'm starting to feel normal again and am actually feeling great this morning! (no more Mexican food!) Anyway, I'm really surprised to see that I am still losing weight. I always weigh myself naked first thing in the morning and right before bed. I now weigh 117 in the morning and 119 at night. I haven't seen the underside of 120 since I was 12 years old! Now I just need to firm up these flabby muscles and get rid of the jiggly fat :-) By the way, what does everybody else do for exercise? I figure walking is probably the best exercise for increasing energy and losing weight but I really like the total gym for toning and strength training. We have done really well for the past 3 months but I want to do well for the rest of my life. I think groups like this one will help me do that. Unfortunately I don't have very much advice (because I haven't been doing it that long) but I hope I can contribute to the list as well as gain from it. Don't give up! This is the best thing going! I'm sure that if you keep up the good work you will reach your goal. CarbWise Market http://www.carbwise.com laura@...
Guest guest
Hi I walk and just started going to the gym a month ago where I lift weights (CYBEX) and do the elliptical thing for cardio. I like it and just joined for another month. It is harder for me to lift weights than to walk outdoors. I am going to miss walking outside when it gets dark early (hoping i am still doing it then) corky > Hi Marjie, > > > By the way, what does everybody else do for exercise? Of course then its going to be cold and miserable this winter too. that's why I got the total gym (for 60 bucks at a garage sale) so that I could get some sort of work-out inside. I think the walking was really helpful for losing the weight and raising my energy level. In fact my weight loss really slowed down when I stopped walking. but I'm so close to goal now that I'm not worrying so much about the weigh as I am my strength and maintaining my smaller self ;-) CarbWise Market http://www.carbwise.com laura@...
