Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the nice compliment about my sense of humor, some may actually refer to be as a sick puppy (ha) I went to a conference in Hawaii with work for 4 days then my husband and I took another 10 days and toured the Islands. It was a wonderful trip. I even have a great tan for so early in the year, now if I can only keep it up until the summer. How is your back? Hopefully you've been able to have some treatment by now? I've never really suffered with back problems, but I know many who do. Thanks for the nice welcome back. I told you guys in my e-mail that I missed ya and I really meant it! Connie Welcome New Members Hi everyone! I've been gone, for over 2 weeks and when I came back on line I had 898 messages from this group. Someone said we're mouthy, I'd say it read more like a soap opera. We've had great news, ('s transplant date, April home from the hospital and 's & Pierre's evaluations to name just a few) some laughs, many fears, several disagreements, a couple of hurt feelings, discussions on sex, some accusations, apologies, drugs, death, war and shoot...we even lost a book deal last week! (sorry I couldn't resist!) I would like to take the time to Welcome our newest members, if I miss anyone, I apologize in advance. Thanks to our Owner, Pierre, (or shall I say Stud Muffin) and my fellow Moderators, , and Walt for continuing to stay on top of the many e-mails that we've had over the last several weeks. It took me 3 days to read them all! There are many messages that I would like to respond to, but because of the fast moving pace here, I'll try to do them privately. Glad to be back among my buddies. Guest guest
I guess my cover is blown. I was in YSO from the mid'70's to early '80's. Was back there in '95 looking to buy a house... Got so far as making an offer on a piece of property just off the yellow-springs-fairfield pike. I really miss autumns there. Will email you shortly. I'll still in touch with some folks there... Guest guest
CC, Oh No, You are very lucky that everything is OK. But I can only imagine what you must have gone through with the phone call letting you know that there was an accident. I do believe some of those things can literally make you age. Thankfully, the students are OK and I would say that it has turned out to be a great day after all under the circumstances. Believe me I'm not complaining about the 80 degrees either. Connie Re: Welcome New Members Connie, 80 degrees, lucky you. We just got four inches of snow last night. (Idaho) My son was on his way to Boise with his school this morning, the roads were solid ice. They went less than 20 miles when the van rolled, I spent the morning at the hospital and everyone is OK just bruised and scratched, one broken bone on what of the other students. Guest guest
You go girl!!! Now lets not do the political thing. We need to just keep the conversation to such mundane things as failing kidneys. (and a few good puns and funnies) :-) Re: Welcome New Members Hey Connie, You are welcome in California any time. Of course, you would have to be able to tolerate the liberal minded war protesters which are driving me batty at the moment! I just think that no matter what your personal opinions are, we should all support the troops when they are out there risking their lives and getting killed in their service to our country! Guest guest
, I am soooooo tired, I think all my adreneline was used up from the news this morning. Thanks, CC Re: Welcome New Members > CC, > > That must have been such a scary phone call to get! Yikes! I'll bet that > sent your blood pressure up. Guest guest
I would take it personally too if I had love ones there. . And I had better stop myself!! I wrote other stuff, but decided it ws best not to. We really want to stay focused on the needs of the group. (and some light harded moments) Hey, where is the stud muffin? Re: Welcome New Members :-) , after I sent that off, I thought oh no, I sure don't want to stir things up. It is just that I have a nephew and another member has a cousin so with this war it seems more personal! I honestly believe it is a most honorable thing to serve one's country. It is a very sacrificial act...I just wish no country's military would have to put their training into war time practice!
