Guest guest
-Hi Cherie, well you are right. I know firsthand from working with kids as a specialty that autism and a lot of other DD do respond to treating with antifungal and diet. I have five kids, my son has adhd, and diet is big. We have not had to go really strick, but my friend has a child with an unpsecified DD and is being treated by one of the top peds in the country andhe has really turned around. You are so far ahead of the game if you are doing all this before explant. You should do well. When I found out about this site and all the info, I was so sick I would lie in bed and shake. I am sure I was full of yeast and mold. It sounds like you already have good info. Oh, I just jumped into the 6 tablets right away. I have a tougher time with the sugar. Guest guest
Hi Cherie,You mentioned your struggle with your daughter's pediatrician and are searching for a new doc. The kids who I see improve the greatest have DAN! (Defeat Austism Now!) doctors. At the bottom of this site is a list of docs. ~PH http://www.healing-arts.org/children/amyholmes.htm#danlist What Is the DAN! Protocol, and What are DAN! Doctors? Defeat Autism Now (DAN!) is a project of the Autism Research Institute, founded in the 1960's by Dr. Bernard Rimland. DAN! doctors are trained in the "DAN! Protocol," an approach to autism treatment which starts with the idea that autism is a biomedical disorder. Specifically, DAN! doctors feel that autism is a disorder caused by a combination of lowered immune response, external toxins from vaccines and other sources, and problems caused by certain foods. What Do DAN! Doctors Prescribe? In an article called "Advice to Parents of Children with Autism," authors associated with the Autism Research Institute say: Many physicians do not conduct extensive medical testing for autism, because they believe, incorrectly, that the only useful medical treatments are psychiatric medications to reduce seizures and behavioral problems. Some of the major interventions suggested by DAN! practitioners include: Nutritional supplements, including certain vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and essential fatty acids Special diets totally free of gluten (from wheat, barley, rye, and possibly oats) and free of dairy (milk, ice cream, yogurt, etc.) Testing for hidden food allergies, and avoidance of allergenic foods Treatment of intestinal bacterial/yeast overgrowth (with pro-biotics, supplements and other non-pharmaceutical medications) Detoxification of heavy metals through chelation (a potentially hazardous medical procedure) > >> > how much of the cap acid do you take? Guest guest
Nan, I'm so sorry to hear how sick you were, I hope you are doing tremendously better now! I unfortunatley cannot jump into 6 tablets, my body won't let me. I get extreme low and mid back pain, I can hardly walk. Thanks for the encouagement! Guest guest
PH, I actually already looked into and their was only one pediatrician in our area that is a DAN dr. and they called me last week and said that he are not accepting any new autistic children. So, looks like I'm outta luck. Thanks anyway Cherie > > > > > > how much of the cap acid do you take? Guest guest
Hi Cherie,That's discouraging news. Still, some parents research the info DAN! doctors recommend and then take it to a naturopathic doctor. Great Plains Laboratory ( http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com/home.htm ) is a good place to start for initial testing for food allergies, heavy metals, urine analysis, etc. GPL will send you the kits for free and then all you have to do is get your naturopathic dcotor to sign off on it. Sorry if I'm telling you things you already know! - PH > > > >> > > > how much of the cap acid do you take? Guest guest
PH, No, I didn't about this, thanks! I will look into it. Cherie > > > > > > > > > > how much of the cap acid do you take? Guest guest
Nan, I agree, I don't feel that my body can handle it either. I feel that my organs are giving me a big sign everytime I take something and get these flare up. My organs did not start to hurt until I tried these supplements. Whatever is going on with me is due to these implants and I do not see me getting any kind of relief until thier out. I am thinking I will just detox in November when they come out. I do not want my organs in bad shape and have my surgery postponed. Thanks Cherie > > I am on the cap acid at 6 times a day, my face is all broken out and I > am itching all over. Guest guest
Cherie, I think you're wise to cut back on detox supplements for now . . . You might consider doing coffee enemas or a liver/gall bladder flush . . . But before doing anything, research them thoroughly and know you feel comfortable about them. I think there is one liver flush that calls for lemon and oil with water every morning??? . . . maybe someone can help me out here. . . It's a slow flush that should be easy on the body. It sounds like your liver is overloaded and not flushing the stuff as fast as it's being generated. . . . In the meantime, just keep eating healthy and drinking a lot of water! . . . You'll get there - just not as fast as you'd like. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Nan . .. are you drinking enough water (non-chlorinated)? . . . Minimum 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight daily? . . . That will help flush fungal die-off. Hugs, Rogene
