Guest guest
Rita, this is again . I need to clarify something. When I left my husband a year and half ago I didn't know I was sick. All I wanted to do is start over, but three weeks after my daughter and I left I couldn't walk etc. . What I want to do most of all is to be able to work and go forward with my life. I will lose my med. insurance when the divorce is final so I have been trying to do the best for myself now. When the pump is regulated and everything works out ok the first thing I will do is go to vocational rehab . They said that they will help me find a job even if I can only work a few hours a week(I'm hoping to work a lot more). I still work for my soon to be ex . He wants me to work two jobs or get on welfare and food stamps so he doesn't have to help. MY goal now is to cut all ties with him in six months. Here I go again, on,on,and on. But all want is for you to understand that I want to do the very best for my daughter and myself. You just keep hugging that very special person in your life men like him don't come along all that often. Guest guest
Dear , I don't know what state you live in but in most of the states I'm aware of divorce is 50-50 and the main bread winner is responsible for his/her child until that child is 18 years old. They are also in some cases responsible for alimony and insurance or medical coverage. I would suggest you call human services in your area as they may want to go after your husband to make sure he pays his 'fair' share. Here in Wisconsin as in many other states they take part of the ex's earnings to help. Good Luck, kathy hillary A wrote: > Rita, this is again . I need to clarify something. Guest guest
Dear , Yes, I do care. I have known many women in your situation including myself. Since I have no living children it was easy for (well, not exactly easy, but you know what I mean) up and leave. I'm so sorry. If ever there is anything I can do, please, please let me know. take care, kathy A wrote: > Kathy Hillary, Yes Oregon is a 50-50 state , but we have are own business > and he puts into it what he wants and keeps what he wants. Guest guest
Thank you for caring. It is very difficult for most people to understand where I am coming from. They think that it is easy to just walk. When I was younger I didn't have the what ever it took to do it. Now I feel very blessed to be getting support from people that don't even know me. I'm working very hard at getting this over with. Just knowing that some one cares helps. thank you, B. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
: I have a hard time keeping up with everyone's particular condition. What is your overall condition, if you don't mind me asking. Rita ************************************* Some people succeed in spite of their handicap. Others succeed because of them. Guest guest
I have trouble with balance, walking up stairs, lifting, left foot drop, spasticity -legs and feet, fatigue, sleeping, and depression. Thats me in a nut shell. Baclofen pump is up and running. I feel better am able to use cane in the house. Using crutches for everything els, with a lot less effort. I haven't had to use my wheel chair. I guess I was doing better than I thought. Today was colder so it is harder to get around outside but it is easeier than before the pump. The one thing that I am noticing is that I don't have to take most of my other meds.. B. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
: You don't sound any different than many of us. I use to use a wheelchair, until I started to use my walker, and since then, my chair is in storage in my daughter's cellar. The depression is par for the course, and all the other stuff I have had or still have. So don't feel alone. I can do stairs as long as there is a railing. . With counselling and Prozac the depression is in the past, for me. The only thing that depresses me now is the Boston Red Sox. Thanks for sharing!
