Guest guest
dear kim, i have a question about klonopin and feeling " overally mentally sedated " . before i ask this, i wanted to give you an idea of how sensisitve my brain is and always has been. when i first took an ssri many years ago, i felt the " euphoric effects " within 1 dose within a few hours! this was on a low starting dose of the ssri. this is rare that the ssri effected me so quickly and showed me that my brain is very very med sensitive. so conversly, i have noticed that even on a low dose of klonopin, i am taking slightly lower than .5 milligrams my brain feels so so so sedated and i have experienced a significant increase in lightheadedness, dizziness, and just overal slowed cognitive abilitly. catherine wanted to put me on a benzo because she explained to me that b/c i went cold turkey off zoloft, my brain was in a state of severe overstimulation if you saw my brain, you would see fireworks. i feel now that if you saw my brain, you would see a straight line that is how mentally sedated i feel on it. one of the unfortunate effects of the benzo is feeeling overly mentally fatigued and sedated. these effects wore off a litle but not completely. i know that most people do not feel so super sedated on such a low dose of klonopin as they might become frightened by feeling so out of it. but then again, most people do not have brains as sensitive as mine. so i guess what i wanted to ask you is, when i do get off klonopin, will the effects of feeling over sedated possibly be permanent or long lasting? i read that ppl in benzo withdrawal also have more cognitive sedation that can be protractedbut if i taper slowly, will this over sedation mental feeling ever go away if it is solely from the klonopin? no doubt i had mental fog already from my zoloft withdrawal but i can tell the klonopin added significantly to it. thanks. ct went cold turkey off zoloft in april of 2005 taking 2,000 milligrams of vitamin c cherry plum and scalatherius 4 times a day. 4 drops each time 6 GOL a day cell food 3 times a day magnesium 800 milligrams calcium and vitamin d 750 milligrams i ounce of mineral toddy before bed
