Guest guest
I am interested in the accuracy of the saliva tests compared with blood tests / ACTH-stimulation tests. Does anyone know of any peer-reviewed studies which show that the saliva tests are more accurate? If tests done here in England on the NHS show that a person does not have adrenal insufficiency, and tests done by NPTech by 24-hour saliva show that they do have this problem, what is the essential difference between the two forms of testing? Guest guest
As they look at different things I dount you can compare blood to saliva levels. And I thnk this is why many doctors do nto trust saliva labs, they expect them to show the same as blood labs and they don't. When they do blood labs they assume if it is in the blood, it is in " your system " .. But what happens when ther doors are closed and things from your blood can't GET into your system from there? The blood levels can go higher and the TISSUE levels will go lower. Saliva testing tests whatis in the TISSUES. For a substance to be in your saliva it must have already gone from the blood into the tissues. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
