Well, when you're on a boat with holes in your socks and your 2 days boat

ride from home...and you still have 600 crab pots to pick up...you better

start sewing or be uncomfortable...

The North Pacific in the middle of winter is no place to be uncomfortable..

Critics will say...why are you there with old socks....

Your not...but things happen out there and stuff gets ripped...

You also get to stitch yourself up too...unless a boby part is falling off.

Tell me about it. When my dh and I first got married, he expected

me to darn his socks. I said PLEASE, when your socks have holes in

them--that means they are WORN OUT! Throw them away. Buy new ones.

Problem solved. ;)

anything can happen....most of the time you're wearing rubber

boots.....stainless steel barbs puncture the boots...rip stuff....

The back deck is a very busy place...not to mention the boat is always

moving....you are constantly bumping into things, getting hit by swinging

things...in short...getting the shit beat out of you....

there's a bunch more......
