Guest guest
, this is exactly why I tell folks to start low with HC and work their way up. Guest guest
Hi Val: I guess I wasn't expecting a problem, since I was already taking Isocort and I'm not taking any Armour etc. So I guess you can still have a dump even when not taking thyroid meds? Plus, my " doctor " didn't say anything about starting slow.. Oh well, I'll continue and hope it gets better. thanks, -m > > , this is exactly why I tell folks to start low with HC and work > their way up. Guest guest
Yes you can have a thyroid dump even if not on thyroid meds. Even your OWN thyroid hormones can build up in theblood as they also need cortisol to get into the cells. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Yeah. That happened to me two or three times after starting on Cortisol, and I'm not on thyroid meds yet. The first dump was the most unpleasant. My fault for increasing the Cortisol dosage too fast a couple of times at the beginning. --- T wrote: > Yes you can have a thyroid dump even if not on > thyroid meds. Guest guest
Iodine is really tricky with Hashi's. In fact, it can cause more problems. Are you still taking iodine? Maybe you should join the iodine group - iodine SAMMIE --- sharflin wrote: > I hadn't heard of a thyroid dump before and so > didn't know to look for > it when I started HC a couple of weeks ago. Guest guest
Hi Val, do you know if there is there a saliva test for that I can order myself? --- wrote: > Some folks, like me, do not get thyroid dumps as > their bodies just make > excess RT3 instead of stockpiling it in the blood. > > -- > Artistic > Grooming- Hurricane WV > My Ebay Jewelry Store > http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Thanks, Sammie. Yes, it can be tricky. Would have very been helpful to know that I had Hashi's but the diagnosis was missed two years ago, in my opinion. Yes, I'm on the iodine group - highly recommend it. Guest guest
I think you will need a doctor to order a Reverse T3 test. I have not found one I could order myself. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
This is interesting info Sammie. I'm Hashi's, hypothyroid and hypoadrenal. I've just got my adrenals supported with Cortisol and was going to go on Armour, but then thought no, I should see whether I am iodine deficient first by taking an Iodine loading test, which I'm getting ready to do tomorrow. I figured if I turn out to be iodine deficient that I could correct that with Iodoral, and maybe some more of my Hypothyroid would be corrected along with it, so I wouldn't have to take as much Armour or maybe even none. (I know, that's dreaming with Hashi's, but worth a shot at least to get everything else as corrected as possible first). Would you please mention a couple of complications for Hashi's people taking Iodine that you've seen over on the Iodine list? I've applied to join the list but waiting for approval.
