I get some burning in the rectum, especially after taking magnesium, which strange enough was my first symptom weeks before getting IC. Although my burning is much better, magnesium always causes a flare up.. strange.. the red spot could be due to inflammation in the muscle. Once the levator ani muscles are in spasm both the vagina and rectum can be affected. Fun huh? Not hardly.....Jackie

I suffer from rectum burning. Sometdays when my

burning radiates down my inner thighs and even

into my tailbone.

,

I had vulvar vestibulitis at one time but not anymore. Now

I'm just left with the vulvodynia. And I have had burning

in the rectal area but that's b/c of the fact that I've had

some problems with hemorrhoids and I also have

endometriosis.

Sorry that I can't be of more help to you.

I had this when my vulvodynia was bad. I was told it was from the oxilates.

Since I went on the low oxilate treatment and guai I rarely if ever have any

burning even with BM's. I don't know about the red spot they found in your

rectum. Is that the only area that bothers you? If so perhaps you should

watch it in case things change. If everything burns I think you can chalk it

up to just one more lovely symptom.
