Chad, these are all signs of over-excitement of your autonomic nervous

system. Where can you reduce stimulation in your life?

Update from Chad

Hi ,

I still feel very weak and tired most of the day, can't seem to get enough

rest, poor energy.

In our conversation you mentioned perhaps a thryoid hormone or something

like that.

Is my regime below still okay, or is there anything I should add, increase

or decrease.

thanks Chad,

I've been taking

Caprotein2x a day, one in the morning before breakfast and when I get off

work before meals.

I've been taking the magnesium 250mg and vit C 1000mg from 7-3pm,

alternating between hours.

lethicin 3 x a day 520MG, fish oils 3 x a day 2000mg with meals

Ultra Toddy 1x in morning 1x in evening

Mineral Toddy 1x at noon, 1x late in evening.

I have noticed my mind is slightly settling down a bit, some

nights I can

fall asleep faster and less interrupted as before. I still have

the

depersonalization. Tight helmet feeling around my head.

nervousness, confusion at times, shaky feeling all over my body,

body feels

weak after changed diet and taking supplements. I'm drinking

lots of water, I had some problems with a prostrate englargment a few weeks

ago, it is a little better but still not 100%.

<<(from my orginal post, below.)

I've been feeling this strange depersonalization now since Oct of

last year

when I woke up from and had anxiety attack. I've been taking

Clonazapam for

about 12 years now. The doctor started me on doxipan in Nov and

Depakote,

(I haven't been on antidepressant for about 13 years) The doxipan

made me

nervous and manic and depakote was horrible I was too weak, after

about

three weeks the doc took me off both. I began to notice I had a

dialogue

going in my head along with hearing music, so I the doc put me on

risperdal,

I was only able to handle that for three or for days at the most,

it made

matters much worse, I started to have extreme fear, along with more

anxiety

and the dialogues got louder and I started to hallucinate.

I started Zoloft about a month ago on 15mg, per doc's orders. And I

became

more nervous and along came dysphoria mania so I decided a week ago

I wanted

to stop the medicine and go on something natural.

The worst part of my symptoms are depersonalization, I'm

hypersensitive to

smells, lights, sounds. My whole body feels tense, my mind feel

like it is

being pushed from the inside out. I don't think the Clonazapam has

really

done much to help, I'm on 1.5 mg a day. I would like to get off it

as well

as find an alternative to antidepressants and moodstablizers and

get rid of

the depersonalization.

I haven't drank since Oct of 05, I used to drink a lot of beer for

many

years. I've cut down on my coffee and I really need to quit

smoking. But

again the depersonalization is the worst part about this.

any ideas on what I should do? I am only on the Clonazapam and

I've been

taking B complex with vitamin C for a few months now.

** What you initially experienced is from the damage done by

years of

drinking. IMO, damage from chronic drinking needs to be recognized

and

talked about more. This will not be fixed by psychotropic drugs.

** Considering what happened to you while drinking that caused all

this

(it's called allostatic overload), it is important to get a good,

personalized protocol going. If it was just a simple,

straightforward one

drug withdrawal with no complications, a consultation wouldn't be

necessary.

The allostatic overload tells me you are drastically depleted in

nutrients

and overloaded in toxins and free radicals, This will not go away

on its

own.

,

I did have a blood panel a few months ago, they tested for thyroid, diabetes

and others everything came back clean. Just a note: I have some prostrate

inflammation that began a month ago, we had to put new carpet in our house

and I think the lifting strained something down there. I was on an

antibiotic for 10days, helped open things up but in general I'm still pretty

weak.

I've been taking these to help w/ that:

http://www.greatestherbsonearth.com/nsp/mens_formula.htm

and also Quercetin

Are those okay?

thanks for your time.

Here's your problem, Chad. You were already on overload but now you

have to deal with the off-gassing of the new carpet and the ravages of 10

days of antibiotics. Why did you take antibiotics -- for inflammation?

** You have to be really careful about this. It takes the body

a year to recover from one 10 day course of antibiotics. these

drugs deplete at least 9 different nutrients, beneficial bacteria,

and damge bone marrow.

I think you're under quite a burden between the effects of the

antibiotics and the new carpet. You'll need to replenish your body

with bacteria. This can be done with probiotics and/or some live

kefir. Make sure you keep taking the vitamin and minerals. rest

more on weekends.

, last winter I took 2 courses of antibiotics for sinus

infections (amoxycillin). The second course was twice as powerful as

the first. I got awful stomach upset. Do you think it would be

beneficial for me to take some bacteria, or do you think it was long

enough ago (5 months or so) for me to be focusing on other priorities

at the moment?

Thanks,

.

** I think it would be helpful, .

BTW, thanks for your private email the other day. You really hit

the heart of the matter -- quite eloquently.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about this area of nutrition. What

kind of bacteria should I get?

Thank you , but as I said, I think it was a waste of time.

There's no persuading, no changing very entrenched opinions. He

still believes what he believes and thinks he knows best. Oh well,

water under the bridge now I guess :)
