Guest guest
Yes, I often have sharp pains that go as quickly as they come. Especially in my eye, temple, and palm of my hand. I really haven't given it too much concern. While I was growing up, "all pains" were considered, "growing pains". Could be the reason why small things to me, are considered emergencies to others. Blessings... -- RE: Sx's change Hi Beth,……anything that happens in the head is worth mentioning to your Dr. I think. A few months ago I had this enormous POP in my head, and it scared the “bee jee bee’s” out of me. just as I was falling asleep. I’ve had the sharp pains too kind of like a lightening strike. It never lasts, and I think it might be a nerve misfiring or something along those lines. One thing I know about MS, is there are so many weird symptoms, but I still wouldn’t just assume its from the MS, and tell your Dr. just in case he wants to test it out. I hope this was helpful! This is not associated with a headache or migraine. Just starts and stops randomly. The sensation is in the back of the head or side of the head, or top of the head. The pain is not bad, just more annoying than anything else. Feels like popcorn being popped in my head. Have appt with neuro tomorrow. Is this worth mentioning or just a brain thing…? Guest guest
Sharon, Saw neuro and he says it could be from the TN, but I also have right ear flexing (muscle spasms is what he called it) so it’s back to the MRI chamber for me. Going next Friday for that. He also gave me a drug called Provigil. Said it would help me with the brain fog I have. Has anyone used this and is it worth trying? Guest guest
Sharon, About the same. Good days and bad days. Motor sx’s have moved into the right leg and ankle now. Before I was just seeing trouble in the left side. Had the worm crawling in my head sensations again for the past few days. Anxious to see what the MRI will reveal. Anybody tried this Provigil??? I have a starter pack from doc. It is supposed to help me with the fatigue. Believe me, I need it! Don’t like the comment from doc that it is an “upper”. Looking for user comments on it. Thanks for the concern Sharon. You are right this is not EASY. I get depressed when I go to the neuro and see all the people worse off than me. Guest guest
Yes Beth, I take provigal. I take it on a regular everyday schedule when my sxs are active and when I am having a good spell just on the days I need extra energy. I have only found one thing that I am careful about and that is not to take it after noon if I want to go to bed at the regular time. I have gone as late as 2 a few times and gotten by with it-- but that was on very busy stressful days. --HAPPINESS and BUTTERFLIES Lynn Intuition is part inspiration & part educated guess, TRUST YOURS -------------- Original message from Westie : -------------- Sharon, About the same. Guest guest
Lynn, How much do you take? The doc wants me to half the pills to start. Does it just make you peppy or is it like having too much coffee in you? I need something that will lift the fog and let me think at my job. Guest guest
It is, indeed. I have been diagnosed with MS since age 19, and am now 68+ (69 in June), and I still have not gotten used to MS, which I refer to as "multiple surprises," and I really do appreciate this list! Love to you, Beth, n RE: Sx's change Thanks again for your help on this. It’s nice to have other people to talk things over with.
