ok...So I haven't met ALL of you...but I still LOVE ya anyway!

If I could diet, I would never have gotten to the 295 pounds in the

first place. But I do know what to eat and what NOT to eat, what

causes me the worst problems and what makes me feel best.

I just dont have a lot of will power (or is it brains?) to follow the

rules all the time...LOL!

I dont eat white flour at all. Simply dont. Haven't for the last 4yrs.

The only thing even CLOSE to that would be the sourdough bread on a

sandwich or something...and even that gets pretty much 'peeled' off and

only used as a 'handle' for whatever is inside. I opt for wheat (whole

wheat) whenever I have to have a 'handle' unless it is unavailable, and

then I do the sourdough. I just dont eat bread at all really.

(Although a sourdough English muffin with blackberry jelly on it sounds

really good to me.....spank!)

I DO eat a lot more sugar than ANYBODY ever should. I know that I am a

BAD BAD BAD BAD girl when I eat it...but....I just cant help myself.

Gotta have it. Cant live without it. Have it DAILY. Simply have to

CHOOSE to live with the consequences and results. oh well....I enjoy

it anyway...even though I pay later. I just cant do without. sigh.

(I do limit some of it..and I dont eat anywhere NEAR what I did as a

big girl. I get satisfied with just a little at a time....but I do it

a lot of times....LOL)

Usually it is in the form of something chocolate, usually not much

flour involved, and in tiny amounts. (But that occasional, and very

rare, Krispy Kreme is pretty tempting too....)

I have not eaten any white flour pasta. I use wheat, spinach, and

other vegie pasta's in anything that I eat that needs it. But then,

that is so rare too. Very rare.

I cant eat anything tomato anymore. Not ANYTHING. no ketchup, no

spaghetti sauce, no marinara, no vegie soup or tomato base soup, NADA!

It just rips up my stomach something fearce. So...pasta is kinda mute

anyway without the tomato stuff.

(with the rare exception of that wonderful alfredo sauce....oh my!)

I cant drink milk. Makes me sick to my stomach. I do put cream in my

coffee (which I drink to keep the migraines at bay every morning). I

eat a lot of cheese. That is pretty much my dairy intake...CHEESE!

(dont even suggest soy milk...I will gag at the reading of that...LOL)

Although, ice cream would be concidered a dairy intake...if it were not

just in the SUGAR category! (that too is very rare for me)

I have not had antibiotics in about three months...I think...and that

was for a bladder infection. I dont think I noticed any change in the

bowel stuff after that. I could be wrong, but I dont think that

effected me too much.

The iron has been a real problem for me...but that is due to having to

take 9 times the regular amount after that anemia thing. Now that my

level is back where it belongs, I take less daily and that seems to

have improved my 'odor' issue. (still nasty as far as I am concerned)

The calcium is a real problem. I have a really hard time with the

constipation due to the calcium. I know that is what is causing it

because I stopped taking it for about five days to see if that was the

reason (I Know what you are thinking Jo!) The constipation problem

went away after the third day. When I went back to being a good girl

and taking it...I got constipated. Guess there is just no way around

that one. sigh.

(I have tried liquid form, pill form, powdered form, chewable

viactives, etc., and it doesnt seem to matter)

The new probiotic stuff is called " Jarro-Dophilus EPS " It says it has

4.4 billion organisms per capsule, 8 species with documented strain

morinaga Bifidobacteria longum BB536 (what the heck is that???)

It is Enteric Coated, so that might be a bit harder to absorb...(didnt

read that til I got it home and tried one...) It doesnt have to be

refrigerated (but is recommended) so I can take it with me to work if I

forget or dont have time in the morning. It says it contains milk and

soy but is vegetarian and gluten-free. I have only taken it a couple

times now. (www.jarrow.com)

Spent most of this afternoon 'downloading' in the bathroom! Maybe it

is working? LOL!!

Anyway, thanks for all the advise. It is certainly a learning

experience every step of the way!
