I would call the doc and ask his opinion on that. Anything cardiovascular is beyond the scope of this group. Judy wrote: I'm on my 4th day of Armour and so far so good. I'm just taking the 1grain to start and splitting it between the morning and mid afternoon. Some things are happening that may or may not be a result of theswitch, but all in all I'm feeling pretty good. I have noticed a recurrence of my PVCs and I'm wondering if anyoneelse had a similar experience. I do have them from time to timeobviously, but I hadn't had an episode for at least two months now. Just this week I've had a couple bouts each day. They don't lastlong, and I try to ignore them, but it's still very annoying.Do any of

you have PVCs (Premature Ventricle Contractions) and if so,did you notice an increase with the Armour? I'm hoping it will justpass as I get adjusted... JudyP

Deborah,

I'm not sure where you are in optimizing your thyroid replacement.

I thought it was interesting that I mentioned to Dr that sometimes I go to bed bundled up in a blanket because of feeling so cold then wake up in the early morning hours burning up. He said it could be that the thyroid condition is causing early menopause symptoms (hot flashes). I'm 41. We did not get into much more detail then that but I'm assuming it just part of the big picture of hormone imbalance including the thyroid hormones.

Deborah,

I don't really have any good ideas for you that haven't already been offered. Just sympathy. I'm that way too, but I'm not in your stressful work situation. People in my house have had to suffer with my narrow comfort range for years. It's a small thing, relatively speaking.

I am in peri-menopause right now. My estrogen is high, but progesterone is low. I take progesterone. It does not help at all anymore. I am not sure that it was supposed to help with hot flashes or not. I know it was supposed to help with my awful periods. It isn't though. Oh well. This too shall pass! That is what I tell myself everyday about symptoms I suffer from Hashi's and peri-menopause. I have to work and go on regardless. I do find that if I take extra B vitamins, I feel much better. More energetic.

Dr. R. actually prescribes a vitamin B12, B6 and Folate, Metanx. It helps a lot.

Laugh at you? Are you kidding? You're working! Maybe you could go to Academy or REI and look at cooling off gadgets for runners, etc.

Actually, the menopause protocol says that estrogen helps with hot

flashes.

WI sent my last prescription by Fedex. It came in an extra thick insulated envelope. It does not always take that long, but it can.Kim Hanson wrote: Thanks for the info. Does it really take 10 days for the Cortisol to come from WI? I cannot start back on the Armour until it arrives. Meanwhile I'm day by day going more hypo with return of more and more symptoms. Kim

I'm STILL having hot flashes, after all these yrs. I'll be 55 in a few days, had a hyst when I was 35 (leaving one little little ovary), started having hot flashes at age 41, and am STILL having them. I was on estrogen (Estrace) for 4 yrs, from age 43 through 47, gradually weaned myself off of it then, but I still had hot flashes the whole time that I was on the Estrace. It probably either wasn't enough Estrace OR it was estrogen dominance with an extreme lack of progesterone. I just don't know, frankly. From my more personal physical symptoms, as of around a yr ago, I would say that I am now lacking in estrogen, even if I wasn't then. I'm frankly thinking that this COULD be some of MY problem, maybe. I still do just what you're describing. I feel schiz, when it comes to the thermostat, all the way from setting it on 70 degrees, then flipping it back up to about 75, but never any higher than that. Hot to cold, cold to hot, covers off, covers on. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! I'm thinking that it's a pretty sure bet that I now need a little estrogen, even if I didn't then. There are just too many indicators. ly, I probably need all 3 of the sex hormones most important------estrogen (probably Biest), progesterone (I ran out of the cream, but it started making me a little sleepy at inappropriate times), and also probably some testosterone. However, I think I don't want to experiment around with testosterone, til I know for sure. I already know what a low dose of estrogen is, and I had a couple of docs tell me that I'm always low in it, but that was yrs ago, and it was those "moment in time" tests. I was probably in premenopausal syndrome at the age of around 30, (1) because of smoking and (2) because of that tubiligation I had when I was 27, 28 yrs old.
