With great sadness I'm sharing:

Salazar's youngest son died Sunday in a car wreck.

works is an executive secretary in the administration offices of

DRMC. She had DS surgery Nov. 01. You can find some photo's of

in the Photo's section.

I have heard (unconfirmed) that there is going to be fundraiser

efforts at DRMC to help raise money to cover the cost. Services are

being handled through Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary.

Man dies of injuries from wreck near emergency room

A 22-year-old Bakersfield man was killed in an early morning,

alcohol-involved accident on Sunday, Bakersfield police confirmed.

Colt Salazar was driving a 2000 Honda Civic east on 16th Street

behind Mercy Hospital at 1:34 a.m. when he ran into a center island

behind the emergency room, Detective Greg Terry said.

Salazar was airlifted to the Henry Mayo Clinic in Newhall where he

died at 9:52 a.m. Sunday, the Los Angeles County coroner's staff

said.

Three other Bakersfield residents in the car were also injured and

taken to hospitals.

They were Arambula, 22, who had cuts on her face and pain in

her arm, and was taken to Mercy Hospital; Meadows, 22, who was

cut on his face, and Beauford, 27, who with Meadows was

treated and released from Kern Medical Center, Terry said.
