Guest guest
Can anyone point me to any literature that explains how SSRIs help regulate blood-flow, I can never find anything on this exact mechanism (or that mentions the words " blood-flow " ) and would like to have it on hand to share with my son's ped., as she is trying to learn more. There must be something out there. Thanks. Re: Herpes 6 Virus and Regression-Does active breakout of herpes 6 cause regression Any illness can cause the immune system to go off, and this leads to the behaviors you see. Just stay with the antiviral. It will help withe immune system, and once it calms down he should start to do better. We never really dealt with too much flapping. Is your son on an SSRI? or Tenex? or anything else like that? It is the immune systems shut down of blood flow to the brain that causes the disfunction and the SSRIs help regulate that bloodflow. > > I was fascinated after reading that treating for herpes 6...even > though, there is no sign of active infection is important and that > after about two months...suddenly the virus appears...wow! Guest guest
OK someone correct if Im wrong on this, but I beleive it is through Dr Goldberg's research and the work he does with his other researchers that they have figured out how various ssri's and snri's change the bloodflow in the brain. Pharma companies are analyzing the effects on serotonin but do not use technology like a neurospect to see how the blood flow is altered. If you look through the neuroimmunedr.com site, you may find the info in one of his presentations. > > > > I was fascinated after reading that treating for herpes 6...even > > though, there is no sign of active infection is important and that > > after about two months...suddenly the virus appears...wow! Guest guest
Has anyone tried Ginkgo Biloba to improve brain blood flow? My children's DAN! doctor has apparently used this with good effect for dementia patients, but my Mum, who suffers from ME, has very poor bloodflow to the brain, her pulse rate sometimes drops to 40, then comes back up again, so she could do with something to improve this, as she keeps falling over due to this. Incidentally, I have always thought that my higher functioning ASD daughter regressed following a nasty bout of chicken pox, and we will be getting the immunosciences Premier Autism panel done next month to see what's going on, then probably trialling LDN. Guest guest
Just had a thought, does Dr. G explain any of these findings in the Tupelo video, maybe I should look into that. Guest guest
You are correct. I believe the NeuroSpect findings have shown this, and the video may show some before and afters, although I don't know if it includes only before and after SSRIs or after overall treatment. NeuroSpects have also shown the similarity between chronic or acute viral illness (like for instance monoEBV-encephalitis? I think?) and autism in regards to how the blood flow is distributed, as well as the similarity between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Autism. --- meljackmom <meljackmom@...> wrote: > OK someone correct if Im wrong on this, but I > beleive it is through > Dr Goldberg's research and the work he does with his > other > researchers that they have figured out how various > ssri's and snri's > change the bloodflow in the brain. Guest guest
We have not, but that is what Ginkgo does (nature's own SSRI). We are about to try some other herbs with my son (anti-viral). We have not done LDN, but have friends who are seeing very impressive results -- good luck! - Diane McGregor <m_d33@...> wrote: Has anyone tried Ginkgo Biloba to improve brain blood flow?
