Guest guest
NT bullies are deemed part of the normal school experience and "build character." I've noticed that in the Law and Order franchise and also some other detective shows, whenever they have a case involving high school the reminisces are usually bad and refer to bullies. I know this is fiction, but it is telling in a way. The experience of dealing with bullies in school has been around for a long time but no one seems to do anything about it. Teachers, students, parents, they all know who the bullies are and that it goes on, but no one does anything real to address the issue. They might come up with some silly codes and pledges, but those really amount to nothing but another way for the savvy bully to game the system. Those bullies get a pass, but if the quiet guy who just wants to be left alone finally has enough of being the victim strikes back, the people and the media don't care about the years of abuse the victim might have endured, but only care than "its the quiet ones you have to watch out for because they might snap at any time." Meanwhile the bully who provoked it could be just off camera giving another quiet little guy a super wedgy, but that would never make it on the news. In a message dated 8/8/2010 1:07:36 A.M. Why is it always kids with AS that make the newspapers but not so often the bullies?Administrator
