Guest guest
Dear Ones, Christmas can indeed be stressful, for so many reasons! That in itself can cause a flare... I know that there are such great expectations at this time of year - Brought on by movies and shows and even commercials - that a " Norman Rockwell " Christmas is a hard thing to pull off. So, in YOUR corner of the world... try to enjoy the ones your with - Remember that they are only human...forgive them for misbehaving - and do forgive yourself also. YOU deserve to be happy! I am eager to hear how everyone's holidays went. Kind Regards, Pat Hobbs Texas
Guest guest
Grandma Carol hopes you all had a safe and happy Christmas. I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with anyone who talks about infantile reflexes not dissappearing so more adult reflexes can not develope. A naturopath/chiropractor we were refered to has said our little man (18 mths) has not developed his more mature reflexes because the infantile ones have not dissappeared. He said that this is why he has a balance issue and other difficulties. We went to see him as one of the other parents at the School for deaf Children went some time ago. Her boy was completely floppy and had no muscle core strength, so had no balance at all. He went for a few months and now you would not know he ever had a balance problem. Torin now has a whole raft of natural additives to take 3 times a day. Strangly the naturopath could describe all his issues and seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. Torin has his glyconutrients now as well. Luckly he is good with medicine. He just opens his mouth when he sees you comming with a syringe. Torin is comming on well he is now commando crawling well and can sit himself up and is trying to pull himself up, but because of the hemiplagia and almost no use of his right hand he finds it difficult to pull himself up, but he keeps trying. For us I suppose if the naturopath can get him to sleep better it would be worth it. Sorry for the ramble, it would just be interesting to hear if anyone else has ever gone this route. Torin is having Botox on his hand and arm in a couple of weeks in a study at our local University hospital on therapy for hemiplagic children. He will also get his second Cochlear implant as soon as he starts walking (((((hopefully in the next few months.))))) Typical hopefull Grandma. Grandma Carol Torin(18mth) Defuse mostly left sided PMG right sided hemiplagia, profoundly deaf, (red headed little monkey.)
Guest guest
My PT says the same thing about Alec. He still has some of his infantile reflexes and that is why he has not moved on too. We got the glocs too, but we tried them for about three days, and it seemed to make Alec more floppy. How ,uch are you giving Torin and when and how? Do you give him the Lechtin too? Alec has balance issues too. He is 21 months old and is trying to army crawl and just started sitting unassisted for about ten minutes at a time. He left sided hemiplegia and drags his left leg along. It does not work independently from his right side. Have you noticed considerable diffences since the glycos? How effected is your son? We noticed that Alec sleeps through the night if we put him down on his left (bad) side with a pillow. Then his good side is free to move himself around and shift without having to wake up. You might want to try that, it worked like a charm. Does Torin have seizures? Alec does, and we keep praying that he doesn't get them. Thanks, Traci Merry Christmas Grandma Carol hopes you all had a safe and happy Christmas.
