Guest guest
Since my potassium was in the lower quartile of normal, I just went looking around, seeing what happens when potassium is either low or high. I will not take potassium supps, except under the quidance of a doctor, because those can be dangerous for some of us, and we don't necessarily know who we are, when it comes to this. I have been getting cramps in the backs of my thighs over the last few days, that are coming out of nowhere, and NOT when sleeping. It is painful and comes on very suddenly. Not in the calves of my legs, but in the backs of my thighs, and I've been puzzling over what in the world is causing them. This happened to me once before, when I did a change in my thyroid meds, just a minor one, I think. I'm not sure what it's about, but it could be something as simple as running my rear off at work, but then, I've always done that. I have started stretching out the backs of my legs more than usual, over the past two days, thinking it might be tight muscles back there, all the way from the ankle strings going up to the buttocks. I'm hoping it's that simple. Anyway, a little on the benefits of high potassium foods and why. http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocenter/minerals/potassium/#drug
