We have made some steps forward. Today my co-coworker walked past my

office and smiled, shared a worksheet with me and we had one amicable

conversation at the end of the day. I didn't sleep the night away and

I feel better about the situation. All is still not completely well. I

want to forgive her completely, but I also feel the need to keep a

certain distance. Is that wrong?

There is a workshop tomorrow that we both have to attend. Before the

disagreement I would have offered to drive. Today-I didn't make the

suggestion.

Hi, M.D.!

I believe it's time to forgive her completely and then put it in the

past. You can't forgive completely until you've also let it go

completely. Your biggest obstacle is already behind you because it

appears as if she's forgiven you and moved on, not holding on to any

lingering hesitation or grudge, and wants to be friends again. It's

time to take that final step ... it's time to let go. :-)
