Guest guest
said that he likes his new school and he thinks it's the " perfect place " for him. He told me about group therapy, art, playing 4 square and making a couple of friends. He mentioned that he stepped out of a class once with anxiety and that one of the kids asked why he stepped out. He said for the first time, he wasn't worried about telling them why and when he told the boy that he was nervous the other boy said " oh, OK " . That really impressed . He said he got scared once when one of the kids was angry, but he said that he realized that the people there would help him and that nothing bad was going to happen and he felt OK to be there. I'm hoping that he'll learn alot about himself as he hears other kids talk about their feelings and what they do about them. I know all won't be rosy, but it's nice to have a good start. It was sad still for me to go to his old school today, return his books, and pick up his combination lock. The transition is almost as difficult for me as it is . I'm sure it'll get easier of the next couple of months. Thanks for asking! Bonnie
