A couple questions.....

Aside from joint pain, what other havoc does RA cause? The fatigue is

paralyzing at times and i wake up with foot pain so bad that i have a

hard time getting out of bed. I have my first appt. with a

rhuemetologist on the 12th. I'd like to be armed with the right

questions. On the bright side, all my biopsies from my upper and lower

came back fine. Whew! My mom & gramma died of gastro cancers. They both

had fibro too. Gee what are the chances i may have it?

Hi, Theresa, and welcome to the group (I guess you're new). The thing RA did

to me was mostly in the connective tissue and muscles. I had minor problems

with joints, but tendons being eaten away from the bones was my main

problem. Second to that was pain and swelling of muscles for many years. Now

I recognize the fatigue more because I'm 16 years older and it's limiting my

activities more. Of course there's the constant pain that I've not gotten

used to. It's different for each of us, so you will have to learn your own

set of effects. Sometimes they are so subtle, it takes a while to realize.
